It's always easy to figure out who the top dogs are in every state. The hard part is getting out and finding hidden gems. That's what we love to do here at Prep Redzone. West Virginia has some guys out there we need to talk about it.

Nick DeProspero, TE/DE, Morgantown, 2024

DeProspero plays both sides of the football. At tight end, he is real good at getting open on out routes and corner posts. At defensive end he is very good with putting pressure on the quarterback. He is also good at helping out in their rush defense. I think DeProspero is a guy that can make it on the next level. He is one to keep up with this season.

Aaron Clark, DT, Hurricane, 2024

Clark plays the game with good mechanics. I love the way he shoots his hands and immediately gets his head on a swivel. Clark isn't an easy guy to block. He is very aggressive and always plays with a high motor. He makes it very hard to quarterbacks to be able to step up in the pocket. Clark should see his stock rising this offseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='1126397' first='Tajai' last='Davis'], OL, Capital, 2025

Davis is an offensive lineman with some nice skills. He is a center that does not give up ground in the trenches. Davis plays the game with intelligence. He isn't the biggest guy in the trenches, but he uses his IQ. He uses his mechanics to make things happen. Davis does a good job of getting down the line on plays where he has to pull. Davis is going to be playing football on the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1138997' first='Damian' last='Johnson'], ATH, Capital, 2026

Johnson is a speed demon. He runs a 4.5 40 yard dash, but I think he has a 4.4 in him. He is a guy that can be very useful this season. Johnson is going to be a prospect who can be a good return specialist. He has that speed that allows you to get the ball to him quick, allowing him to make some plays with his legs. I don't know if he will be a varsity starter this season. However, I know he can make some kind of impact on their offense.
