Playing as a freshman for your varsity squad is impressive enough, what Nassib pulled off last year is beyond that. Watch the way he moves and throws the football, you will see why he played for the state champions at a young age. He moves in the pocket like a veteran and can make any throw downfield. The second team all district selection will inevitably start attracting major institutions eyes soon. I expect him to not only be ranked in the top 100 for Virginia but nationally as well, yes he is that good!

Channing Hyde
Channing Hyde
Tell you what, I was already a big fan of what Gainesville is building with their new high school football program but this kid makes them even more enticing. Hyde excels at his defensive back position for the Cardinals, already displaying good ball skills and footwork. He can play in any scheme and can also help you at linebacker and safety, he is athletic enough to do so.

Keep an eye on Whitver this fall as he appears to be a big time target the next couple of seasons for Powhatan. All he did as a freshman for the Indians is tally 6 touchdowns and over 600 yards receiving. At 6’2 with a long stride like his, this kid is going to drive defensive backs crazy in the Dominion District. He has exceptional hands already and is another two sport (Basketball) star for his school. Boasting a 4.0 GPA, I would be shocked if the Patriot League does not come calling his way soon.

Montez Dyson
Montez Dyson
The Dulles District already has some dudes that we reviewed earlier this year, this kid may be the next big one. Dyson may already be one of the fastest kids in the league and despite his not ideal height, he will make defenders pay for underestimating him. A quick running back who can hit the whole at full speed and go, I expect him to have a major role in the Captains offense for 2023. If not their then do not be surprised if he is their top returner as even as a freshman, he has the talent to step in and succeed.

Brayden Sloan
Brayden Sloan
Another Gainesville product, at this point you have to ask yourself what is Coach Bruton putting in the water over there? Just kidding but here is another one for you in Brayden Sloan a stud running back who playing behind Jackson McCarter should only benefit. Sloan is a pit bull of a running back and speedy outside linebacker who is bound to have an impact in 2023. Currently he is recovering from last season’s injury, but when comes back, the entire league will be on notice.
