Continue ReadingCartier Canady Cartier Canady 5’9″ | 190 lbs | ATH DePaul Catholic | 2026 State NJ is a rare talent. As a linebacker in 2022 Cartier was found up near the line or lined up at the middle linebacker position. Cartier has great size for a freshman; it was very hard to distinguish him from the upper classmen since he played with great size and speed. Cartier is an aggressive tackler, he makes you think twice about running the ball his direction. With great reaction time, Cartier is able to see the play develop in the backfield, shoot the hole, and get to the runner before the line realized what was coming.
Cartier is switching to strong safety in 2023, which is a position he will fit into extremely well. He attacks the ball whether it’s in a runner’s hands or in the air about to be caught. He is working towards becoming an elite safety, and he is sure to receive calls from some prominent D1 programs soon.
A star in the making, Paul Jones Paul Jones 6’0″ | 170 lbs | QB Weequahic | 2026 State NJ is a commanding QB for Weequahic. Playing as a freshman in a very tough division, Paul was able to make a name for himself and develop a positive reputation as the signal caller. A QB with an athletic build and quick release, Paul has the characteristics that separates him from others in his class. He is a great decision maker and has a strong arm. Paul is able to throw the receiver open when launching it downfield, and has great timing on the shorter routes. Mobile enough to get out of sticky situations, Paul will become a very sought after QB in the near future.
Highlights
A player that has been getting looked at since he was in middle school, Amari Sabb Amari Sabb 5’10” | 165 lbs | ATH Glassboro | 2026 State NJ is an athlete in the purest sense. Playing on offense and defense last fall, Amari really could go D1 on either side of the ball. As a runner, he was able to rack up 765 yards and 9 total touchdowns. He is a tough runner, and carries the ball intelligently. He has the vision to see the movement of the play before it happens, and maneuvers through traffic accordingly.
As a cornerback, Amari was a turnover machine. You would think the ball naturally gravitates towards Amari, since he was able to intercept the ball 4 times and break up the pass 22 times. He seems to always be in the right place at the right time. As a tackler, Amari pursues the ball carrier extremely well and is a very technical tackler, making sure to wrap up the ball carrier until they hit the ground.
Colin Brenna is one of those Don Bosco freshman that is going to explode in the upcoming seasons. Playing safety at the freshman level, Colin also made a big impact as a return man. He is a pure form tackler and enjoys to deliver the hit to his opponents. When in the safety position, he is able to survey the field and watch how the play develops. He is a player you can expect to make some big, game changing tackles in the near future. As a returner, he has reliable hands and the quickness needed to get across the field to weave in and out of the coverage. Colin is ready to shine for Don Bosco very soon.
