2024 6'4 210 QB - [player_tooltip player_id='249146' first='Deshawn' last='Purdie'] - Milford Mill - UNCC

While [player_tooltip player_id='249146' first='Deshawn' last='Purdie'] is already a D1 commit, I believe that his overall talent is so elite that he is still being overlooked by some scouts. Purdie has an absolute rocket launcher for an arm, and, it's not just distance! He possesses tremendous deep ball accuracy as well. The 3 star UNCC 49er commit and Team Captain led his Baltimore area Milford Mill team to an undefeated overall record last season, with impeccable numbers to show for it. Purdie racked-up 2,759 passing yards, 141 rushing yards, and 32 total touchdowns in 2022. He finished the season with a final overall QBR of 124, which is absolutely spectacular, and he also maintained an incredible touchdown to interception ratio of 6:1 throughout the season. [player_tooltip player_id='249146' first='Deshawn' last='Purdie'] is a super dynamic and efficient dual-threat quarterback, and, in my opinion, he has D1 power conference potential with the right development. Local scouts must keep an eye on him this Fall.

2024 6'1 175 QB - [player_tooltip player_id='264047' first='Brenton' last='Toles'] - St. Mary's Ryken

It has been an absolute pleasure to watch [player_tooltip player_id='264047' first='Brenton' last='Toles']' skillset and career blossom at the quarterback position over the past few years. His growth and development are undeniably evident, and I believe that fact is a testament to his hard work and dedication during the offseason. Toles is a 3 star dual-threat quarterback recruit who was named WCAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2022, meaning that he was voted the best offensive player in the best conference in all of high school football last Fall. He's the most complete dual-threat QB in the WCAC heading into the 2023 season. Toles has a lengthy list of offers including: Maryland, Penn State, USC, Tennessee, Pitt, and VT. I recommend scouts take his recruitment very seriously.

2024 6'1 200 QB - [player_tooltip player_id='264054' first='Aidan' last='Conrath'] - Gonzaga

Gonzaga Team Captain [player_tooltip player_id='264054' first='Aidan' last='Conrath'], ranked as the #2 overall quarterback in all of D.C. last year, led the WCAC in passing last season with 1,666 yards. He added 14 total touchdowns on 177 completions with only 263 attempts. Conrath's pocket passing ability is on another level, and, while he might lack in mobile efficiency, he more than makes up for it with arm talent and decision making. He's a very good backfield scrambler who throws accurately on the run, but, in my opinion, he's definitely more of a pure pocket passer. He already has a lot of interest from D1 programs such as Temple, Deleware, and Towson. My prediction is that Conrath puts forth his best season yet in 2023.

2024 6'3 180 QB - Charlie Blessing - Walter Johnson

[player_tooltip player_id='172808' first='Charllie' last='Blessing'] delivered his breakout season last year, and he only played in four total games. He still managed to run for 6 touchdowns and throw for 3 more, all while helping lead his Walter Johnson Wildcat team to a 7-3 overall record. Blessing ran for nearly 200 yards with limited touches, and it's clear when watching him that his run-style of play embraces physicality. Most importantly, it recognizes the fundamental value of picking-up 1st Downs in Football. Blessing possesses elite maturity for a young quarterback, and it is fully embodied in his decision making. I wouldn't be surprised at all if [player_tooltip player_id='172808' first='Charllie' last='Blessing'] earns All-Conference honors at quarterback in 2023.

2024 6'0 170 QB - [player_tooltip player_id='249167' first='Carson' last='Whittier'] - Georgetown Prep

[player_tooltip player_id='249167' first='Carson' last='Whittier'] earned IAC Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2022, and he absolutely dominated both through the air and on the ground. Whittier threw for 1,200 yards and 11 touchdowns, with an additional 400 yards and 5 TDs rushing. He found a ton of success out of the play-action formation, and you could really see both his decision making and mobile throwing ability improve as the season progressed. [player_tooltip player_id='249167' first='Carson' last='Whittier'] is a fantastic young athlete with next level potential, and, in my opinion, Georgetown Prep should be the favorite to win the 2023 IAC Championship this upcoming season with [player_tooltip player_id='249167' first='Carson' last='Whittier'] at QB. The returning IAC OPOTY has a legitimate chance to re-capture his own individual throne as well.
