The most versatile defensive player in the entire state. Cuttino is the most suited to play in the new era of defensive football, where “linebackers” are asked to cover like DBs and rush like edge rushers.
Cuttino can do it all and then some At 6’3 220 pounds, he puts his full array of skills on display every game. He has the length and athleticism to be effective in coverage and has the explosiveness to be a disruptive edge rusher.
The only other place I see Cuttino taking his game to another level is by playing some middle-of-the-field safety. Adding that level of versatility to his game would take his recruitment to another level. He has solid offers from Michigan State, Duke, and Syracuse but after this season I’m looking for his recruitment to garner some genuine SEC interest.
No one optimizes versatility more than DJ. He’s a standout linebacker/ safety and also the starting quarterback, the Snyder Tigers rely heavily on his contributions.
As a defensive player, he plays a physical brand of football and is a sure tackler. He primarily plays linebacker and has excellent play when playing downhill. He has the size of a safety at 6’2 210 pounds and moves effortlessly across the football field.
I once wrote that it be a fantastic idea to experiment with playing McClary at cornerback due to his solid hips and good feet. He has the ability to play corner, safety, or linebacker, which is part of the reason his recruitment is bubbling right now as he recently added offers from Oregon, USC, and Ohio State to his list.
Jovan has a great build he’s one of the longest players in the state and uses his talents well to be a high-end defensive back. Jovan has lined up all over the defensive backfield from slot cornerback to deep safety. In addition, he plays the ball exceptionally well in the air and has a lot of ball production.
Williams has already received some Power 5 offers from Boston College, Virginia Tech, and Maryland. Williams is a malleable player who has high-end potential to be a game-changer at defensive back.
Willy is a player who has great, size, length, and range and is arguably the best overall player in South Jersey. However, he’s a special player on the defensive side of the ball. Not many players possess Willy’s size, he stands at 6’2 200 lbs, and can move fluidly across the field. He plays at deep safety and uses his length and size to cover much ground and be a ball-hawking playmaker on the backend.
Willy is one of the country’s top defensive prospects, and there has been much discussion about him moving to linebacker when he reaches the collegiate level. With what linebackers are asked to do in this modern day of football it wouldn’t be a bad idea to see just how versatile he actually is.
If you’re looking for a combination of speed, size, and explosiveness McClain is an all-around Safety who makes an impact at every level of the defense. Due to what he does well he’s more suited to be a box safety, however, he does have snaps where he’s playing slot corner. While his tape at slot corner isn’t the greatest, due to his high-end movement skills, he can get better and be a difference-maker in the slot.
In addition, he stands out as a sure one-on-one tackler and his play downhill is exceptional. He can read and react well and can also make an impact as a blitzer. McClain is one of the top safeties in the country, and if he can clean up his eye discipline, I can see him having much success at the college level
