Los Alamitos class of 2023 two-way star Ethan O’Connor Ethan O’Connor 6’1″ | 165 lbs | ATH Los Alamitos | 2023 State CA announced his commitment to Washington State on Thursday.
O’Connor was verbally committed to UCLA but didn’t sign on either signing day.
He chose Washington State over 14 other schools that offered him. O’Connor is the eighth player from California in Washington State’s 2023 recruiting class.
Calabasas class of 2024 quarterback Alonzo Contreras Alonzo Contreras 6’1″ | 190 lbs | QB Calabasas | 2024 State CA announced his commitment to San Jose State on Monday.
Contreras was excellent for Calabasas last season after transferring from Sierra Canyon.
He threw for 2856 yards in 13 games last season with 35 touchdowns and just seven interceptions.
Contreras chose San Jose State over six other schools that offered him. He is the second player in San Jose State’s 2024 recruiting class.
Huntington Beach class of 2024 offensive lineman Justin Tauanuu Justin Tauanuu 6’6″ | 280 lbs | OL Huntington Beach | 2024 State CA picked up a major offer from USC on Thursday.
USC is the 21st school to offer the 6-foot-6 lineman.
Tauanuu had a great showing at the Under Armour Next All-American Camp. He was smooth through the agility drills and won a lot of his one-on-one reps.
Capistrano Valley class of 2024 linebacker Jackson Sievers Jackson Sievers 6’2″ | 220 lbs | LB Capistrano Valley | 2024 State CA got his first two offers this week from Penn and Yale.
Sievers led the Capo Valley defense last season with 99 tackles and two interceptions.
The University of Jamestown has also shown interest in Sievers.
