MHSAA Eval Week: DeWitt AM Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>DeWitt High School hosted the AM session of the MHSAA Evaluation Camp on Tuesday, May 16. This camp showcased many schools from the greater Lansing area, and there were a few notable standouts! Now, here are the three athletes who really stood out to me from DeWitt.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>WR | [player_tooltip player_id='563430' first='Traverse' last='Moore'] | 2026 | DeWitt | <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/14331472/Traverse-Moore/about">Hudl</a></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I had seen Traverse quite a bit on film since the end of the 2023 season, and this was my first time seeing him in person. Traverse is bigger than I thought he'd be, as well as more physical. There were a few reps when he got a bit physical with a DB who was trying to press, which led to better separation earlier in his routes. Even though he technically didn't have to, he consistently made sure to run the ball upfield as much as he could after the catch. Young prospect who is way ahead of the curve in a powerhouse program. He made jaws drop as he didn't give up a single catch while exemplifying excellent athleticism and form. He's flexible, fast, and overall very reactive and sticky. He earned his first offer from Davenport right after the showcase, and I know the Panthers had their eye on him long before the showcase. Consistent success throughout the summer and a great fall will earn Jalen many more offers, and it's not a stretch to say Jalen is a Division 1 talent.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>DB | [player_tooltip player_id='827808' first='Sincere' last='Wright'] | 2024 | Lansing Everett | <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/16943044/Sincere-Wright/about">Hudl</a></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":827809,"width":345,"height":226,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepredzone.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2023/05/IMG-0506-rotated-crop-2732x1794-1684299143.jpg?w=800" alt="" class="wp-image-827809" width="345" height="226" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>While Jalen was working on one side of the field, I was looking at [player_tooltip player_id='827808' first='Sincere' last='Wright'] on the other side. I closely watched about 8 of Sincere's reps, and he only lost 1, which would have resulted in a 3-yard gain on a short slant. Sincere was very sticky with his opposing receiver, as he rarely lost a step and did a great job at tracking the ball as it was in the air and eventually making a play on the man. Sincere was great during this showcase, and a few more great showings are bound to earn him some offers. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
