Continue ReadingThe Missouri class of 2025 is starting to take shape with players making their move to elevate themselves on the football and recruiting landscapes. I’ve followed the high school careers so far of most of the top talent across the state, and made it to see all of them in person. Here is a look at some of the rankings stock risers from that class.
Carson Boyd Carson Boyd 5'11" | 185 lbs | QB Cardinal Ritter | 2025 State MO | QB | Cardinal Ritter |
I’ve watch Carson’s development at a quarterback since he was in the 7th grade, so it’s not a surprise that he has taken off both as a product player on the high school level, but as a P5 D1 recruit. He is the highest riser from the previous 2025 class rankings, going from 19 to number 3 overall. He has put in the work training and honing his skills to get to this point and is one of the top quarterbacks in the country with his skill set and ability. That showed during the season in helping his team win a state championship and in the off season, most recently at the UC Camp in Kansas City, throwing with other nationally recruited QBs. Carson has very smooth mechanics, sees the field extremely well, makes quick decisions, and is one of the most accurate passers I can remember in recent years. This is why schools such as Texas A&M, Louisville, Ball State, Missouri State and most recently Iowa State have offered already.
Corey Simms Corey Simms 6'3" | 190 lbs | WR CBC | 2025 State MO | WR | CBC |
Not a huge jump for Simms in the rankings, but his status as a prospect and recruit has certainly taken off and is worthy of noting since the last 2025 rankings. Corey is another player I’ve watched for several years now despite him only being a sophomore. He always had good size and speed, which has only gotten better, but has continued to improve as a route runner and with his hands. He continues to work on his skills and it has shown in the off season in 7v7 and at camps/showcases. He is very quick and explosive which helps his cutting ability and quick change of direction that he uses well with his speed and ability to hit and extra gear to get separation. He also does a great job catching the ball in traffic and making difficult grabs. He still has a high ceiling to reach, which is why schools such as Missouri, Arkansas, Iowa State, Nebraska, Kansas, Purdue and others have given him double digit offers to this point.
Lucas Allgeyer Lucas Allgeyer 6'6" | 260 lbs | DL MICDS | 2025 State MO | DT | MICDS |
The big defensive lineman looked the part and you could tell he was on the right trajectory as a freshman starter along the Rams defensive line. Lucas has looked the part of recent successful Big 10 defensive linemen I have seen in recent years. He has great size at 6’5″ 260, a great motor, strength, explosiveness off the snap, speed and very good overall athleticism. He’s been a very productive part of his teams defense the past two years. As a sophomore he had 89 tackles and 8 sacks. He’s a humble young man who I don’t think understands the potential he has to be a high level P5 college player in the future yet. He has the potential to play inside or outside on the next level in my opinion. He has picked up a handful of D1 offers so far, but I expect that list to grow in the offseason and coming year.
Dillon Duff
Dillon
Duff
6'2" | 190 lbs | QB
De Smet | 2025
State
MO
| QB | De Smet |
A big riser in the rankings who was not a full-time starter yet for his team in the athletic QB from De Smet with the big arm. Dillon played behind a very talented and productive 4 year starter at QB and has waited his turn patiently, although he did see a good amount of action as a sophomore in limited play and managed to throw for over 300 yards and 4 touchdowns. Despite that, he is getting looks from multiple D1 schools. While he is not a true dual threat QB, Dillon has good speed and can hurt you with his legs as well as his arm. He’s another young signal-caller who has put in the time to improve his skills and has good mechanics, quick feet and a nice delivery. 2023 looks like a breakout year for him on the field.
Jason King Jason King 6'2" | 210 lbs | LB De Smet | 2025 State MO | LB | De Smet |
This athletic and speedy linebacker has been an up and comer since he was a freshman. King is one of the more physical defensive prospects in his class and the state overall. He has good size, plays with a high motor, and flies around the field sideline to sideline making plays and his presence felt in games. Jason also has good hips, back peddle and can cover running backs and tights ends well utilizing his good speed, athleticism and pass coverage ability. He could play any of the linebacker positions on the next level, which has not gone unnoticed by D1 schools who have lined up to offer. Kentucky, Toledo, Ball State and Kent State are a few of the schools who have offered him already. I expect more to step up and offer in the near future.
Larry Robinson Larry Robinson 6'3" | 190 lbs | WR Kirkwood | 2025 State MO | WR | Kirkwood |
Another player who showed signs of what was to come as a freshman. Larry showed glimpses of his future D1 ability in limited play and at the Elite Football Combine in 2022 to be on my radar as a future college player. He’s long, runs well and has very good hands, which he used his sophomore season to catch 26 passes for 449 yards and 4 touchdowns to average over 17 yards per catch. He’s a big play receiver who does a nice job stretching the field and making plays. Robinson is also an outstanding track athlete at 6’3″ making him a helpful target for his quarterback. He’s another high riser in the Prep Red Zone rankings that has gotten the attention of colleges, with Ball State and Toledo recognizing his talents and offering.
