Preston Godfrey – 2024 – RB – Fairhope
Godfrey split carries pretty evenly last season and should see his production rise during his senior season. He has a low center of gravity at 5’8 180 and has plenty of explosiveness in his lower body. Godfrey does an outstanding job of finding running lanes and has the breakaway speed to hit the hole and get into the open field in a hurry. He has good balance and does a good job of regaining his footing when navigating through traffic. To go along with his speed, he shows some short-area twitchiness which allows him to create extra space for himself. Godfrey is targeted often in the passing game as he tallied over 30 receptions last year. Once he catches the ball, he turns upfield and shows off everything I have said previously. Godfrey is a true sleeper that is flying underneath the radar.
Kingston Lowe Kingston Lowe 6'1" | 220 lbs | LB Gulf Shores | 2024 State AL – 2024 – LB – Gulf Shores
Run and chase linebacker with next-level athleticism. Lowe possesses a well-cut, heavy 6’1 220 pound frame with strength visible from head to toe. His speed paired with his high motor allows him to close the gap between himself and the ball while also being able to match up with faster playmakers in the passing game. Lowe’s strength allows him to fight off blockers as well as stun the ball carrier at contact. While he is a physical player that plays hard, he doesn’t overpursue the football and practices good tackling technique. His ability to mirror and beat someone to a spot along with his sheer athleticism makes him a tackling machine. Lowe has 2 D1 offers, but I think he is a bonafide FBS caliber LB prospect that has a chance to be a great value addition at the next level.
Narvontay Richardson – 2024 – ATH – Theodore
Hybrid type defender that will likely settle into a N/S type role at the collegiate level. He has a stout, low-to-the-ground build at 5’9 200. Even at 5’9, there is nothing “small” about his game. He lays some huge hits on the ball carrier and has enough strength and physicality to play in the box. Richardson is extremely effective as a blitzer off the edge, which is where a lot of his production comes from. He is simply too fast for offensive linemen to get a good read on him, which usually leads to Richardson making his way into the backfield with ease. Richardson has a nose for the football and is always flying to it, but he has the lateral agility and mirroring ability to readjust his angle and chase the ball should he need to. Richardson could certainly be a very productive blitzer at the next level who doubles as a player with the speed to play well in space.
Roderick Taylor Jr – 2024 – RB – Baker
Speedy, elusive scat-back that proved to be a reliable playmaker both in the run and pass game last season. Shows impressive fluidity and balance as a runner, often looks effortless navigating through defenders. He does show good short-area burst and has the patience to wait for an opening in the secondary. Once that hole opens up, he has the vision to pick it up and the speed to open up and separate from the rest of the defenders. His speed makes him a good playmaker on the edge and the playcalling does a great job of getting him the football with room to run, especially in the passing game. Taylor is definitely more of the speedy archetype, but he isn’t shabby against contact. He can fight for extra yards and frequently uses a solid stiff arm to create that extra bit of separation between himself and the defender. Taylor picked up his first offer recently from Jacksonville State, solidifying himself as a D1 football recruit.
Edwin King – 2025 – RB – Rain
Big-bodied, north and south runner with surprising elusiveness. Frequently used on outside run or toss plays where he has the burst to out-leverage the defense and get to the edge. He shows good patience as he inches to the outside and can turn upfield in a hurry. Obviously trouble to bring down with his sheer size. When he runs behind his pads, he has the power to drag defenders down the field and bounce off poor tackling attempts. King’s physicality also makes him productive on defense, but his sneaky burst and ability to take on contact project him well as an RB. With a big season this fall, he will start to pop up on recruiting boards across the country.
