I wanted to take time to highlight the top performances from the game and who stayed consistent, opened some eyes, or demanded we put some respect on their name moving forward. Six players on each side got a nod from me!
BLACK TEAM
#2 Tristen Wells Tristen Wells DB MD | DB/WR – One handed interception in the 2nd quarter got everyone’s attention. Was always around the ball when it counted.
#11 Carlos Spencer | QB – Threw WR’s open for big first downs and a 60 yd dot outside the numbers for a touchdown.
#8 Dwayne Smith | WR – Huge touchdown catch with 2:07 left going into halftime. Stretched the field and had some solid blocks on the outside.
#88 Drake James | OL – Stout performance up front. Protected Quarterback and created lanes for Running Backs averaged 5 + yds per carry. Pulled with a purpose blowing up DE’s at Guard.
#3 Aidan McCray Aidan McCray DB MD | DB – Came up without hesitation making support tackles and secured his island by himself for the most part versus taller receivers.
#5 Hakim Theresa Jr. Hakim Theresa Jr. 5'7" | 140 lbs | RB NJ | Slashed back and forth across the field for big gains and found himself in the end zone using patience behind a meaty line.
BLUE TEAM
#63 Daniel “BEAR” Williams | OL – Secured the edge all day in pass protection. Drove anything he got his hands on against their will. Showed good feet and finished.
#33 Nate Walsh | OLB – Took good pursuit angles and chopped down ball carriers. Picked off an extra point attempt for a momentum swing.
#5 Arric Dawkins | RB – 1st carry went for a 50+ yd touchdown that was called back and had another one called back as well later in the game. Ran hard with great vision in between the tackles. Took more than one defender to get him on the ground.
#16 Thomas Mitchell Thomas Mitchell ATH Don Bosco Prep | 2028 NJ | WR/DB – Beat two defenders deep for a touchdown reception and ended the game with an interception. Did his job well when named called.
#8 Tamir Rhett Tamir Rhett 6'0" | 155 lbs | ATH Glassboro | 2028 NJ | DE – Kept the edge contained forcing the ball inside for help most plays and used speed to disrupt back field mesh points. Tackles struggled putting two hands on him.
#3 Mekhi Parker Mekhi Parker 6'2" | 175 lbs | WR Glassboro | 2028 NJ | WR – Played well in space recognizing zone vs man to get open easily underneath. When targeted made plays including a big 3rd down conversion when high pointing ball over safety to keep the chains moving.
