These players are zeroing in on making a huge impact in making a deep playoff run . Here are five key players that I have crossed paths with over the winter who have steadily improved their games.
KEAGAN AUGUSTINE: JUNIOR DE SIOUX CITY EAST 6-3 (225) with good wing span and long arms to get separation at the point of attack. Demonstrated good inside and outside moves in one on one competition at the Prep RedZone Iowa/Nebraska prospect tour back on April 16 that earned him MVP Honors on the defensive line. Very skilled college prospect that will be a difference maker this fall for the Black Raiders!
BRAYDEN MCCLAIN: JUNIOR LB SIOUX CITY NORTH 5-11 (195) really physical player that likes to mix it up in the tackle box. Quick in pursuit and keeps good leverage when zeroing in on the RB toward the boundary. Earned MVP Honors at LB during the Prep RedZone Iowa/Nebraska prospect tour back on April 16th. Solid college prospect looking to build off his team leading (72) tackle performance last fall for a team seeking the playoffs in 2023.
ISAIAH FAVORS: JUNIOR RB BISHOP HEELAN 6-0 (190) nice player here (4.5) 40-yd dash time that will camp this spring at U.S.D 6/14 and Kansas State 6/25 and was recently invited to camp with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Favors has a nice blend of speed and power to run inside and make defenders miss or simply out run them. Nice weapon receiving out of the backfield with soft hands. Favors workload will likely increase after rushing for (704) yards and (6.4) yards per carry last fall. Key leader for a team eyeing a playoff berth. Division 1 skill-set and work ethic.
NOAH CHARTIER: JUNIOR CENTER SIOUX CITY NORTH 6-0 (250) very hard worker and fundamentally sound technician that is the ring leader of an offensive line that returns 4 of 5 starters. Chartier has shown great growth this off-season having attended Prep RedZone prospect tour in Council Bluffs, Seneca Wallace camp and most recently performed well at the prestigious (The Line IA OL/DL Showcase). Chartier has the potential to secure a D2 or NAIA scholarship opportunity.
KANNON BORK: JUNIOR TE/DE BISHOP HEELAN 6-2 (215) here is a player that has worked hard on making himself better this off-season. I have had the opportunity to watch Bork at two off-season camps over the winter and continue to be impressed with his athleticism at the TE position. I like his ability to get off man press coverage and has a good feel on where to settle in zone coverage. Will be a factor on the defensive side of the ball as well at DE. Real nice college prospect and certainly deserving of scholarship offers.
