His ability to get behind a defense is special, as is his ability to separate from defensive backs. Matheson is a skilled route runner who easily changes direction in the open field. He excels at getting in and out of his breaks to create separation. In addition, Matheson is one of the state's best receivers when it comes to making back-shoulder grabs. He's also extremely challenging to bring down in the open field, where his devastating combination of shiftiness and strength helps him shake out of tackle after tackle.

[player_tooltip player_id='406994' first='Drew' last='Deucher'] || WR || 6'0 || 165 || Provo High School || 2024
Deucher is a dynamic receiver but is especially difficult to contain in the red zone. He does a great job adjusting to balls on tight-window throws to score six for his squad. Deucher excels at creating space between him and cornerbacks through all four quarters. He does a good job tricking defenders into thinking he's going one way before breaking back the other. Deucher possesses great concentration that helps him bring in 50/50 balls. He isn't fazed by contact and has good hands. Deucher can take the top off a defense and is fearless over the middle of the field.

[player_tooltip player_id='406971' first='Sefa' last='Brown'] || WR || 6'5 || 200 || Highland High School || 2024
Brown is one of the state's best athletes and could shine at several positions at the next level. The future BYU Cougar is going to be a problem for Big-12 defenses lining up on the outside. His straight-line speed is special as his ability to break out of tackles. Brown can quickly change direction with sharp cuts that help him to rack up yards after the catch. His strong frame helps him break out of arm tackles and stiff arm defenders into the dirt. Brown's long arms and impressive vertical help him to high-point passes and come down with balls that few other receivers in the state could.

[player_tooltip player_id='681223' first='Derell' last='Nichols'] || WR || 5'11 || 170 || Jordan High School || 2024
Nichols added an explosive element to Jordan's offense in 2022. His elite speed makes him tough to chase down from behind after the catch, as does his ability to slip out of tackles in the open field. Nichols can beat a defense at all three field levels and is a skilled route runner. He does a great job tracking the ball and can come back on underthrown balls to make tough grabs. Nichols is also a willing blocker who can spring big palsy for his teammates with timely blocks. In addition, his speed and shiftiness make him an exceptional returner, where he breaks tackle after tackle.
