<p>The Yellow Jackets' star safety announced his pledge to LSU during the nearby Tigers' spring game weekend amid a busy stretch that includes the recruiting decision along with upcoming outdoor track state championships and Denham Springs being one of the first football programs to kick off spring practice. Despite some chatter he could develop into a linebacker or hybrid defender at the next level, McBryde said LSU coaches have told him they plan to keep him at safety where he set the Yellow Jackets' record this fall for interceptions in a season.</p>
