Who are they? Let’s take a look…
Max Walraven Max Walraven 6'5" | 190 lbs | QB West Forsyth | 2026 State GA – West Forsyth
A bigger, taller quarterback with a frame to add more weight and muscle, Walraven had plenty of hype around his last year as a freshman, and he has an opportunity to really take over as the starting quarterback for the Wolverines in 2023 as a sophomore. The 6-foot-4 185-pound Cumming native runs well for his size, can throw on the run, and shows a big arm for someone his age. He appears to have a natural presence in the pocket and has the ability to push the ball down the field. His best football is still way ahead of him, and if he continues to improve more and more during spring practices, he has a chance to make a big name for himself next fall. He’s an easy candidate to have a breakout season and he some possible D1 offers come his way down the road.
Harrison Faulkner Harrison Faulkner 6'1" | 170 lbs | QB Oconee County | 2026 State GA – North Oconee
One of the top young quarterbacks not only in the Athens area, but across the peach-state for the 2026 class, Faulkner is an impressive dual-threat quarterback with an incredibly high ceiling. A natural passer with impressive accuracy and ball-placement, Faulkner is the son of a college coach who understands the game and what it takes to play quarterback. He shows good footwork in the pocket, can throw the ball accurately down the field, and knows how to take off for a big run down the field as well. He has a quick release, hits receivers in stride, and has the overall look of a quarterback who has a big career ahead of him. He plays for a big-time North Oconee program, and 2023 could be a real breakout year for the rising sophomore signal-caller.
Ty Truelove – Rabun County
Rabun County produced one of the best quarterbacks in America two years ago in Gunner Stockton, and now they have another young quarterback on the roster who has the chance to shine early in his career. Truelove is a big-armed quarterback with good size at 6-foot-1 170-pounds with big-time potential. He plays in a quarterback-friendly offense, so expect him to put up monster numbers if he does become the guy in 2023. He reads the field well, throws a long, accurate ball down the field, and is eager to learn and get better. This will be a big spring for Truelove who is hoping to become one of the top 2026 quarterbacks in North Georgia this fall. He’s got plenty of arm talent, so look for him to sling it all over the field in 2023. It’s his time to shine, and he could be a household name around Georgia sooner than later.
