He checks in inside our top 3 at the position across the state and had a terrific Junior campaign for one of the top teams in the nation. Morrison is a quick twitched explosive defender that moves very well laterally and triggers quickly while showing nice COD abilities and has a nose for the football in the open field. He is very technically sound, plays with a low hat in the box when scraping over the top and can provide a pass rush from various angles while showing good backside pursuit and a relentless motor. He has a very strong build, thick lower body and is explosive in the short area while a sound open field tackler that plays with violence at the POA and explodes through contact. Showing some closing speed, he diagnosis plays quickly and sniffs out screens/draws while playing with eye discipline and can get off blocks in the box while having a natural nose for the ball and knifing into the backfield. He is a athletic kid that takes good angles into the backfield and shows he can weave through traffic to get to the ball carrier with his hands or running through blockers head on. He is a strong tackler in the box, can cover bigger backs out of the backfield and run with tight ends while a high IQ kid in zone coverage and when coming off man coverage.
