Pylon Training Camp Series: Notable WR Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Orlando, Florida played host to kick off the Pylon7on7 Training Camp Series which will feature 16 other locations around the country. The Pylon camp series consisted of skills and training competition drills led by knowledgeable coaches as well as tracking accurate and real-time data for scouts and college coaches in categories such as top-end speed, force output, and movement.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Many of the recruits that attended Saturday's event are true rising prospects that deserve proper recognition. Prep Redzone scout Drew Johnson will be listing the top standouts that performed consistently well throughout the camp. Murphy has really good speed and change of pace at the line of scrimmage to keep defensive backs on their heels. Teeter plays at state champion Cocoa High under offensive coordinator Adam Franco. Coach Franco called it out that Teeter would be hard to stop, and he exceeded expectations with slick footwork in his route running combined with sure hands. Teeter is very physical for his size but really impressed with smooth route running and the ability to stack and finish his routes, making a few defenders fall down in the process. The rising sophomore recorded 23 receptions for 243 yards and 6 touchdowns but look out for his role to be extended heading into the fall season. Washington is a really impressive route runner with good speed and explosiveness to work the short to intermediate area. He also showed off good bend in his route running to beat defenders at the break. He's only going to keep developing and become more difficult to cover at the next level with muscle added to his already well-built frame. In nine games last season, Johnson recorded 16 receptions for 260 yards with 2 touchdowns in his sophomore year. Hepburn led Leon High with 92 carries for 404 yards and 1 touchdown in eight games during his junior season.
