There’s just so much talent in the 2025 class overall that it’s been fun to track and evaluate all of the up and coming players. With two more years of high school left there’s still plenty of time to grow and develop, but they’re entering a crucial time in their development and getting seen in the recruiting process. I’m very excited to see these players continue to work hard and see where their journeys take them.

(Olentangy) 6’0 165- Wiley has the bloodline in spades, with a father who played running back down the road at Ohio State. That being said he’s a quiet, no nonsense, grinder. His father has prepared him for what it is to be a D1 athlete and the work it takes to not just get there, but produce. Jackson had an injury that kept him out of the weight room to begin this offseason, but he’s back and working hard to continue to add good weight and strength. Jackson has the length, speed, and athleticism to play both sides of the ball. He’s a smooth receiver who can stretch the field vertically and make explosive plays. Defensively he has the length and the quickness to mirror, turn and run, and play the ball in the air. The question right now really is where is the best fit? What a problem to have right? He’s a very good receiver, but with his length and dynamic athleticism, I think he could be a really top shelf cornerback. There’s no doubt either way that the talent is there and with time and hard work the position will work itself out. Right now Jackson has offers from Kentucky, Miami (OH), and Toledo. This offseason should see his recruitment take off.

(Westerville Central) 6’1 180- Gwinn is a fun watch on film. He has loads of talent both athletically and in arm talent. He ceiling is up there among the top QB’s in the ’25 class. He has a big arm that he’s working hard on to maximize and he has explosive athleticism that he can use to make plays out of structure or in the running game. Right now I’m just looking to see continued development as a passer, the talent is there so I expect him to continue to rise up our rankings. Like most young quarterbacks Gwinn just needs more reps and more opportunities for the game to continue to slow for him and him to continue to develop as a QB. There’s no doubt in my mind that Gwinn is definitely a D1 caliber Quarterback!

(Princeton) 6’2 200- I was able to see Paul “PJ” Nelson up close live in the Vikings defense in his freshman season. Nelson is an athletic and explosive linebacker. He’s extremely versatile and how he can be used. He can blitz the A gap, he can read and react in the run game, and he can drop in cover. He has the speed and pursuit to cover large portions of the football field from the middle of the defense. As he continues to fill out and add strength, he has the ability to be a dominant player at the middle linebacker position.

(Lakota East) 6’2 215- The Kitna name should ring familiar to Bengals fans and NFL fans as Jamison’s father Jon had a long career in the league. Though the genetics play to Kitna’s favor, he’s not living off of them. Jamison “JT” Kitna’s high school film from the state of Texas is extremely impressive. The college coaches agree, as he’s been offered from the likes of Pitt and Baylor this offseason. Kitna has a college ready frame already as a high school sophomore. He has the arm talent to make all of the throws. I view him as a pocket passer who can run. He can win from the pocket, and he can also be used on rollouts and in moving the pocket. He has the speed to make chunk plays with his feet if left space. I’m excited to see Jamison this fall in his first season in Ohio High School football.

(Fremont Ross) 6’6 290- Mayle is a player that I’m really excited about. I fully expect him to end up a D1 offensive lineman. With the new version of college football recruiting the offensive line seems to be one of the slowest positions to get offered. So, while the Mayle isn’t getting a lot of interest at this time I expect him to start to gain interest and I think he should catch fire by the September 1 junior contact day. I wouldn’t He’s a big right tackle with great feet and great hands. His bread and butter is the run game right now, but he possess the athleticism and technique to be a very good pass protector. What I’m looking for is just continued strength development. He just needs to work on rolling hips and good lower body drive for the bigger strong defensive ends that he’s going to encounter, but once that happens the sky is the limit.
