Jacob Nelson – QB – Denmark
Nelson has picked up some valuable experience during his first few years in high school. Now, headed into his senior season, he is starting to heat up as a prospect. Nelson recently picked up his first D1 offer from Gardner-Webb and is primed for a big camp season over the summer. While he is still tying things together, Nelson has a lot of qualities that make him a D1 QB prospect. First off, he has good size at 6’4 and has room to add more weight and become even stronger. Having seen him in person, Nelson is competitive and not afraid to lay his body on the line for a big play. He has a good arm and can attack all levels of the field. All in all, Nelson has a high ceiling and is just starting to be rewarded for his effort over the last few seasons. Primed for a big senior season, keep an eye on Jacob Nelson over the next several months.
Cayden Trotter – DB – North Cobb
Dynamic DB prospect that has picked up several FBS offers this offseason. Trotter has great speed and plays with a lot of energy, flying all over the field to make plays. Spends most of his time at safety and shows decent coverage skills and shows off the ability to jump with anyone and high point the football. Trotter is a tackling machine. He can run sideline to sideline effortlessly and reach any player on the field and shows good technique when tackling. He has the making of a prospect that could lead his team in tackles at the next level. Trotter is fast, energetic, pesky, and has a high ceiling. For these reasons, he is a bonafide FBS-level prospect that should receive some P5 buzz before his senior season is over.
Kobe Jones – OL – Denmark
Jones currently doesn’t hold any offers, but that won’t be for long. Jones is the definition of a “people-mover” up front. He has a P5 level frame, built extremely well at 6’4 290. For a bigger guy, he can get to the second level fairly quickly and find defenders to get his hands on. Once he gets his strong hands on you, game over for the defender. Jones has qualities that you can’t teach. He is huge, moves well, strong, and could develop into a force on the interior of an offensive line. Once he hits the next level and begins to hone in on his movements, Jones could take his game to another level. Once college coaches get eyes on him this spring, his recruitment should pick up in a hurry.
Gabe Bobbitt – TE – South Paulding
Gifted athlete that is starting to turn some heads this offseason. Has a good frame at 6’4 225 and has room to add more weight. Moves extremely well and has great balance and body control for an athlete that is still developing physically. Has good change of direction and twitchiness which makes him a pretty good route runner and also allows him to make defenders miss in space. Bobbitt does a good job of using his size in tightly contested spots to shield off smaller defenders and bring the ball down. All in all, Bobbitt offers a wide catch radius for the QB and has plenty of upside. He has a few D1 offers under his belt and I expect that number to grow throughout the rest of the offseason.
Willie Goodwyn Willie Goodwyn 6'1" | 180 lbs | ATH Rabun County | 2024 State GA – ATH – Rabun County
Big-time athlete that can play both ways at the next level. All around, Goodwyn is incredibly gifted as an athlete. He is fast, twitchy, changes direction well, and has good leaping ability. At receiver, he is a true deep threat that can get by defenders with one or two quick moves. Once he gets by defenders, it’s game over for the defense. Goodwyn also has good ball skills and the ability to go up and get the ball in tight coverage. He shows a lot of promise at DB too, he is a good tackler and covers a lot of ground. A few times on film, he shows the ability to jump routes and pick off the ball. I project Goodwyn at WR where he can really do damage with the ball in his hands and show off his ability to create separation. However, he could make a difference regardless of where he lines up.
