He was working against older and bigger talented receivers, and he was holding his own. You can tell by the way he plays he wants to be the very best. He expects to win every rep, and when he doesn’t he has the confidence to bounce back. I like him as a slot corner at the next level. He has extremely quick feet and change of direction that he uses to shadow receivers. He’s sound in technique and stays in good defensive position. As he continues to get stronger I believe he’ll be a physical presence at the line of scrimmage as well. I think this should be a big summer and fall for Jahmale.
EDGE Keenan Brown Keenan Brown 6'3" | 215 lbs | LB Winton Woods | 2025 State OH (Winton Woods) 6’3 225- After playing his first 2 seasons at Monroe, Keenan “KJ” Brown has transferred to Winton Woods where he’ll continue his high school career. Right now I like him as an EDGE at the next level. He can both put his hand on the ground, and he can play as a standup backer. He’s agile for a player his size and he has the explosiveness to get downhill and make plays. Brown has violent hands when engages blockers and runs through ball carriers when he arrives. I love the physicality of his game. He can rush the passer and he’ll set the edge against the run. If he continues to work on his body, the talent and the physical tools are there. KJ just picked up an offer from UMASS. I think with a strong summer and fall he’ll continue to gain momentum and interest from the D1 level.
WR Trace Jallick Trace Jallick 6'3" | 190 lbs | WR Anderson | 2025 State OH (Anderson) 6’3 190- I love Jallick’s length and frame. He has the body control and athleticism to make tough catches. Through having to sit half of his sophomore season due to OHSAA transfer rules and getting his first varsity time at Anderson. I think he’s still thought he’s adjusting to speed of varsity football and trusting what he’s seeing, so I think there’s moments where he doesn’t play as fast as his physical ability would allow him too. As the game continues to slow for him, he has the chance to be a very good high school receiver make good on some of the D1 attention that he’s starting to get.
QB Jahmeir Spain Jahmeir Spain 6'3" | 180 lbs | ATH Mount Healthy | 2025 State OH (Mount Healthy) 6’3 180- Spain is a pro style pocket passer with a live arm that can make a lot of throws. At 6’3 he has the height to see his targets downfield from the pocket. He throws to all three levels. He can deliver the ball into windows, and he can throw with over the top with touch. Jahmeir is sneaky athletic, as he maneuvers and gets out of the pocket and delivers good balls in the face of a rush. It doesn’t matter the situations Jahmeir is just a cool customer. He throws a very catchable ball. His ball has great spin on the ball which serves him well in windy and poor conditions. He processes and gets the ball out of his hand very quickly. In the run game, Spain can also lower his shoulder and take a hit to get the extra yards when necessary. As he continues to get bigger and stronger, he’s going to add even more velocity to his throws, and I really think he could see his recruiting process blow up. This summer is going to really put him on the D1 map.
MLB Erick Morris Erick Morris 6'2" | 215 lbs | LB Winton Woods | 2025 State OH (Winton Woods) 6’2 215- Morris is another transfer into Winton Woods from Northwest high school where he started his high school career. Erick is a true Mike linebacker. He’s physical and plays with good pad level. He plays downhill and flows well to the ball. He can lay the boom but is a sure tackler as well. He’s comfortable in space. He can fill a gap and stalemate blockers at the line of scrimmage. The physicality of the game is never to big for him. I look for him to continue to work on his explosiveness, but he plays with great size and leverage and is gap sound. I’m looking forward to seeing him continue to develop to see where his talent can take him.
