<p><strong>A lot of credit to the Les Schwab Bowl and Scorebook Live on last night's featured draft. 4x state champion Coach Steve Pyne of Central Catholic (Team Columbia) and Coach Josh Line of Sheldon HS (Team Willamette) made their selections while Andrew Nemec and myself provided analysis. </strong></p>

<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p></p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='738764' first='Eddie' last='Freauff'] 6-4 200 WR/DB 24' Crook County</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>We've talked about Freauff a lot recently after he earned 4A all state honors at DB as a junior. The 6-4 athlete was selected in one of the early rounds, all the more solidiying him as one of the fastest rising recruits in the state. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='278367' first='Brysen' last='Kachel'] 6-3 225 OLB 24' West Albany</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>As noted during the show Kachel might be the next athlete offered in the 2024 class. The Mid Willamette Conference Defensive POY has put together an impressive resume, and could thrive in the all star game. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='270088' first='Sylus' last='Wallace'] 6-2 285 OL 23' Jesuit</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Wallace earned 1st team all state honors and was a key member of the state's top offensive line. He was one of the first lineman and overall athletes chosen, as is considered one of the most versatile lineman in Oregon, racking up 1st team all Metro honors on both sides of the football. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='209682' first='Tashi' last='Crofut'] 6-0 210 LB 24' Lakeridge</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>The 2x all TRL selection has the potential of being a 1st team all state LB this season, after being one of the 6A leaders in multiple statistical categories last year. All eyes will be on Crofut with 3* teammate, and fellow LB [player_tooltip player_id='152332' first='Ethan' last='Biondine'], making the move back to Hawaii. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='119072' first='Ty' last='Pugliano'] 5-10 185 RB/S 23' North Medford</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Coach Josh Line acknowledged that Pugliano had been one of the most difficult athletes to compete against the last two seasons at Sheldon. He might not have the 4* status like his brother, but he will likely be a standout at John Hopkins University. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='291229' first='Sam' last='Keen'] 6-3 290 OL 24' Marist</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>We've talked about Keen a lot over the last year, as he has one of the fastest rising stocks of any player in the state. The 4A Conference POY and 1st team all state lineman was just offered by D1aa Rhode Island. This game will be big for him especially if he can do well against 6A competition. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='206848' first='Matix' last='Carpenter'] 6-1 260 OL/DL 24' Central Catholic</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>As referenced on the broadcast, Carpenter is one of the top lineman in Oregon, racking up 1st team all Mt Hood accolades on both sides ofthe football as a junior. Look for him to be a small college standout. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='130391' first='Parker' last='Williams'] 5-10 170 DB 24' South Salem </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Most are aware of Williams by now, ranked as one of the top DB's in the state. He had an outstanding off season as part of Team Alpha and will project as a 1st team all conference guy on both sides of the ball next season. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='406758' first='Kainoa' last='Hayes'] 6-2 245 DL 25' Central Catholic</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Hayes continues to climb the rankings board and do well at off season events. He had an impressive sophomore season, earning 2nd team all conference honors defensively. This will be an opportunity for him to show what he can do against older, more experienced competition. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='110174' first='Kaden' last='Huppin'] 6-0 180 CB 23' Westview</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>One of my favorite picks of the entire draft. Huppin earned 1st team all Metro honors and was selected towards the end, but is incredibly deserving and should do well wherever he ends up collegiately. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='278403' first='Niko' last='May'] 6-0 170 ATH 24' Central Catholic </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Look for May to be one of Oregon's breakout performers next season, after catching 24 passes for 282 yards and 3 TDs last year. May was a standout for Team Lillard and I would expect his numbers to double in 2023, being a primary targey of Cru. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='147250' first='Brayde' last='Owen'] 6-1 195 ATH 23' Gladstone</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Definitely one of the best players in Oregon you might not know about. Owen has film which speaks for itself as he was dominant in every facet of the game. He will play D1 ball at Southern Utah. </p>
