Impressive Camp Performances from 4-15-23 Weekend

Over the next few months, performance camps are going to be routine during the weekends. On some weekends, the camps will overshadow and share the limelight with recruiting news. 7-on-7 tournaments in Texas also gave an opportunity for some prospects from the Natural State to gain the spotlight. We are going to look at several impressive performances from the weekend.   [player_tooltip player_id='639420' first='Marquaze' last='Parker']-Defensive Line-West Memphis-2024   The West Memphis product continues to open plenty of eyes with his impressive performances. Parker earned MVP honors at the Under Armour ESPN Kansas City camp. Parker has excellent speed and uses it well to get into the opposing offensive backfield. He is a defensive lineman that has terrorized opposing quarterbacks over the past few seasons for the Blue Devils. He is a prospect on the defensive side of the ball to watch out for over the next few months. Parker has the potential to create plenty of havoc on Saturdays in the future.   [player_tooltip player_id='594778' first='Slade' last='Norwood']-Quarterback-Farmington-2027   The Farmington quarterback continues to rack up the honors. Norwood put his quick release and accuracy on display in Kansas City at the Football University camp. He has the arm strength to stretch the field deep and he does an impressive job of throwing wide receivers open. Norwood earned camp honors at the Football University camp in Kansas City over the weekend. Norwood is a quarterback to watch out for coming up through the ranks. Keep an eye on Norwood, he has the potential to light up Friday nights in the future.   [player_tooltip player_id='203768' first='Drew' last='Davis']-Quarterback-Benton-2026   After a season, where he threw for over 2,500 yards and 32 touchdowns. [player_tooltip player_id='203768' first='Drew' last='Davis'] is continuing to put his strong arm and accuracy on display. Over the weekend, Davis put on a strong performance at Round Rock 7-on-7 Tournament in Texas. Davis showed that he can fit the football into tight coverage. He is a prospect that has the arm strength to fit the ball into some tight windows. The Benton Panthers always have a talented roster and Davis has the potential to light up Friday nights for several years to come.   [player_tooltip player_id='403107' first='Aaron' last='Austin III']-Defensive Back-Bryant-2027   The Bryant Hornets have built a dynasty with talented defensive prospects in the secondary. The Hornets have another lockdown defensive back in the form of [player_tooltip player_id='403107' first='Aaron' last='Austin III']. He put on a strong performance over the weekend in Round Rock. Austin III gave up only one reception while picking off three passes and running one back for a touchdown. The Bryant defensive back has the potential to do big things over the next couple of seasons for the Hornets. He is a player to keep an eye out for on Friday nights.   [player_tooltip player_id='268519' first='Greyson' last='Jerry']-Linebacker-Fayetteville-2026   We have kept a close eye on [player_tooltip player_id='268519' first='Greyson' last='Jerry'] over the past year or so. He is a prospect that continues to raise his game every time he steps on the field. Jerry has impressive speed and is always around the ball carrier. He does a great job of being able to fend off blocks and get into the opposing offensive backfield. Over the weekend, Jerry took home camp honors at the Football University camp in Kansas City. The talented Fayetteville linebacker also earned an invite to the Top Gun event later in the year.
