Whether it's a slant route, drag route, post route, or a fade, all programs are throwing the ball more and need sure-handed options in the passing game.

Here is a look at four of the top receiving yard leaders from the Class of 2024 located at 1A high schools.

Head to Southeast Kansas and perhaps you can catch two of them in one trip.

I love a receiver that is not afraid to go across the middle and Evans fits that mold. He finished with 43 receptions for 821 yards during his junior season. Eleven of his receptions went for touchdowns. He can run any route and jump over would-be defenders.

[player_tooltip player_id='1103640' first='Jeff' last='Nold'], 6'3”, 182, Sedgwick

Nold is a huge target that causes match-up problems for opposing defenses. The Sedgwick product caught 38 passes for 482 yards. Seven of those catches went for touchdowns. He is a quick receiver who could also bulk up and play tight end. Nold is also an accomplished basketball and baseball player, so he might have multiple options to take his athletic skills to a college campus.

[player_tooltip player_id='81148' first='Tony' last='Gillespie'], 6'0”, 160, Pleasanton

Coaches on the Southeast Kansas recruiting trail this fall should make a stop in Pleasanton. There they will find [player_tooltip player_id='81148' first='Tony' last='Gillespie'] a solid route-running and edge-blocking receiver. He finished his junior season with 25 receptions for 381 yards and five touchdowns.

[player_tooltip player_id='1103629' first='Braeden' last='Young'], 6'1”, 180, Northeast (Arma)

After stopping in Pleasanton, keep heading south, and catch a Northeast Vikings game. The Vikings have a tight end in [player_tooltip player_id='1103629' first='Braeden' last='Young'] who will be looking to improve his contribution to the offense in 2023. Young caught 17 balls for 263 yards during his junior season. He is a sneaky target and a solid blocker.
