Despite it not always being top of mind when it comes to states that produce football talent (like Texas, Georgia, Florida and California) the numbers paint a clear story. Citing NFL rosters from <a href="https://playfootball.nfl.com/discover/news-and-features/high-schools-with-the-most-nfl-players-on-2022-kickoff-weekend-rosters/">this past September</a>, the Magnolia State has the 16th most active players in the NFL, with 36. A deeper look at the numbers reveals that Mississippi is third when looking at NFL players per capita, trailing only Georgia and Louisiana. Is listed at an unverified 6-foot and 250 pounds and shows an advanced knowledge of leverage. Plays with a powerful, squatty base and doesn't over-extend.
