The group behind it has gotten off to a good start, a sign that the overall talent pool in Iowa is rising.

Scouts at Prep Red Zone offer up a great, extensive list of '25s. I'm guessing plenty of these names you'll read about in this series will be on it.

Here's the fourth installment (first two linked above):

[player_tooltip player_id='245821' first='Luke' last='Sternberg'], ATH, AHSTW - Sternberg (6-0, 180) was one of the state's most productive players in 2022. The sophomore rushed for 1,711 yards and 25 touchdowns, adding four receiving scores and four interceptions as a defensive back. I really like his patience and vision when running the ball. He waits for his blocks to set up and bursts through the hole, often outrunning defenders from there. He looks natural catching the ball, opening up receiver as a potential college position. His athleticism and reactions make him an interesting prospect in the secondary as well.

Rayce Heitman, ATH, Williamsburg - Heitman (6-1, 180) quickly jumped out to me when watching the Raiders in the UNI-Dome during November. He delivers plays on both sides of the ball. He looks like a kid who will continue filling out physically, but his excellent athleticism and quick-twitch actions play at multiple positions. I could see safety, linebacker or receiver at this point. He racked up an amazing 70 solo tackles on a defense that included four-star '24 [player_tooltip player_id='248037' first='Derek' last='Weisskopf']. He averaged almost 20 yards per reception and 8.7 yards a carry with four combined touchdowns in '22. He plays with great tempo.

Jake Krebsbach, ATH, Osage - Another player on our list that could project at multiple positions on the next level, Krebsbach (5-10, 170) is a really good at football already. I like him best on defense, where he diagnosis plays well and explodes to the ball. He wraps up soundly upon arrival. He welcomes physicality. He paced the Green Devils in tackles last Fall with 82.0, including 65 of the solo variety. It will be interesting to see if he's incorporated into the offense more in '23 as his skill set could play well on that side of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='640854' first='Cooper' last='Martinson'], DT, Southeast Polk - Martinson (6-4, 280) was overshadowed a bit on a loaded Ram roster, but he played a big role in helping SEP win a second consecutive state championship last Fall. He totaled 53.0 tackles (43 solo, 9.0 for loss) and a sack. Of course, one reason he's flying under the radar as a football recruit is that he's a wrestling prospect from a wrestling family. I'm interested to see how he develops on the field, though. Wrestling and football complement each other well.

Dylan Muszynski, ATH, Linn-Mar - At a listed 5-foot-8, 155 pounds, Muszynski can scoot in the open field. Linn-Mar does a nice job getting him the ball in space, where he makes people miss and accelerates quickly. He caught 28 passes, two of which were touchdowns. Muszynski boasts the skill set to be a slot receiver at the next level. He's also a strong baseball player. He could end up playing that sport in college.

Dalten Aldrich, DL/LB, Waterloo West - Aldrich (5-10, 215) represented himself well as a sophomore on the varsity. The Wahawks lined him up in the middle of the defensive line where he shot off the ball and shed blocks on the way to 7.5 tackles for loss. He leverages bigger offensive linemen well and has a strong base. He appears athletic and could work at middle linebacker. Center also could be a possibility.

Darius Mason, RB, West Des Moines Valley - Mason (5-11, 230) helped lead the Tigers to the Class 5A state championship game with a team-best 716 rushing yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore. At his size, the power part of his game is obvious. He does more than run over opponents, however. He shows good patience, vision and footwork in traffic. He moves well laterally and gets downhill quickly.
