Highlights
Rupp is one of the best up and coming defensive lineman across the state, and is one of the top defenders across the region regardless of class. He is a disruptive pass rusher with violent hands, strong strike and a variety of speed and power pass rush moves at his disposal. Against the run, he has a quick lock out, violent shed and can eat up double teams and defeat reach blocks easily. He is a high motor kid that has had a productive off-season dominating competition and solidifying himself as one of the best defenders across the region.
Rodriguez has had a very productive and busy Spring and recently picked up a offer from Montana Tech. He should continue to see FCS interest come his way down the stretch and is in line for a monster final season for Pocatello. He has packed on weight, and already has plus athleticism for the position while a very technically sound linebacker with terrific instincts, tackling abilities and a nose for the ball. He is violent at the POA, shows closing speed in the backfield and plus COD abilities while flashing a high motor and redirection in space. Rodriguez is one of the better players regardless of position across the state, and will be one to watch as we draw closer to the next NSD.
Young is a true 4 down defensive end that can also kick inside at the next level due to his frame, strength at the POA and position versatility along the defensive line. He shows heavy inside hands, instant lockout and can redirect and get into the backfield quickly showing some short area twitch in pass rush situations and natural bend both inside and on the edge. He has quick block recognition, can take on pullers and quickly reacts to screen/draw with eye discipline. Young has a high floor at the next level, and should continue to see his stock rise through his final prep season for Owyhee with FCS/D-II interest.
