This particular group had very good Senior Seasons and have the potential to carry on to the next level if they choose to. These eight athletes will be very big steals for any program looking for some late recruiting season signees. Go take a look below!
I was sent May’s Junior film last year and saw what a difference maker he was on both sides of the ball. This year I got the chance to watch him in person and was still impressed. I like the bruiser mentality he has on both sides of the ball. High level physicality and speed that will take you by surprise when he uses it, instead of running through you.
OL/DL- Cody Peterson, Lennox, Highlights
Frame, feet, hands and muscle. Not much more needs to be said about the way this kid plays football. He gets out of his stance quick and makes the big block for the run or pass game. His motor runs on a high level to finish each play to the whistle and resulting in buried defenders.
TE/DL- Aguer VanSickle, Bridgewater-Emery-Ethan, Highlights
I watched VanSickle at SDSU camp last summer and was impressed by the way he competed. Bigger school kid, smaller school kid, didn’t matter to him. He took every blocker to the limit in one-on-one’s and won a majority of them. Speed, muscle and angles were the most vital assets in his game.
OL/DL- Will Mehus, Fargo Shanley, Highlights
Lightning quick off the edge, but still having the muscle to overpower his Tackle. Keeps good pad level and center-of-gravity to dominate in the trenches. Not only the physical attributes, but the IQ to stay in position to do his job at his position each and every play. Takes great angles to make plays on the ballcarrier in the backfield as well.
OL/DL- Aydan Beckedahl, Minot, Highlights
A very large man, and he knows it. Once he gets a head of steam, the blocker stands no chance, all the momentum is in Beckedahl’s favor. Quick off the snap, good hand technique and motor to force his way to the football, no matter who has it. His strength also helps destroy double teams and collapses a pocket quickly.
WR- Tahrye Frank, Mandan, Highlights
Watched his tape a few times and I’m still impressed. Smooth speed and route running with good hands to cap it all off. When in traffic, he shows a good vertical and concentration to make him a reliable go-to target when plays break down. One hand or two hands, he was going to reel the ball in.
RB/LB- Tayten Sanow, Sioux Falls Jefferson, Highlights
Extremely physical, speedy, and gritty defender as a Senior. Either walked up on the line of scrimmage, or sitting back and getting reads from LB depth, he plays the position to a T. Run or pass defense, he puts pressure on the opposing offense, by staying home and making the plays that come to him, with a boom.
DB- Mason DeSchepper, Sioux Falls Roosevelt, Highlights
A very physical DB that can play deep, or role up into the box for extra run support. Sits in his zone and keeps in position to make plays when the pass is in the air. He is also very reliable on the offensive side of the ball. Speed works well with his route running. His hands and big play ability after the catch is something that is very fun to watch.
