There is football talent in every corner of the United States and I love to find it. While a state like Delaware doesn't turn out the volume of next-level players like Georgia, Florida, Texas and California do, there is absolutely talent here. In fact, current Minnesota Vikings Pro-Bowl Offensive Tackle Brian O'Neill is a Delaware native.

The athletes below are aspiring to get to that level one day, and being selected to this Bowl is a good start. In addition to the 10 prospects that stood out to me the most on the White team from practice on Wednesday, April 12th, here are several other athletes that did some positive things.

When it comes to the offensive skill positions, I saw a lot of good things out of wide receiver Tate Fontanazza. He was right outside that top 10 that I linked to above. I was very surprised to hear from coaches and Fontanazza himself, that he was a slot receiver given his size. He was one of the taller receivers on the team, but after watching his foot work early in practice, it became clearer. After doing a little more homework on him, he's also a talented lacrosse player too. He'll be Salesianum School in the fall.

In a practice that was heavy on install and getting the basics down for an all-star game just two days away, a pair of linebackers did some good things. Future Smryna High School prospect Namir Lewis caught my eye pretty quickly. A throwback football player that I'd put right around 5-foot-7, he's the combination of a wrestler/linebacker that I have an affinity for. Lewis is a strong kid that bends at the knee and was seemingly always in the right position. Not as complete of a football player as others, but he has some game to him and should be a very good high school football player. Without knowing wrestling like I do football, I'd be willing to bet there's a future for him on the wrestling mat somewhere in America.

Another linebacker/athlete type that performed well was Mac Casalvera. Stop me if you've heard this before, but Casalvera also has a wrestling background, finishing third in the state at 160 pounds last year. I'd peg him as more of an athlete than a pure linebacker at this point, but he can play some ball. Good length and adequate muscle on his frame. The HB duPont Middle Schooler also plays lacrosse.

Rounding out the additional standouts on this team, we head to the offensive and defensive line. Center and defensive tackle Xavier Camacho had a pretty good practice--specifically on the offensive line. Saw him in December at AYF Nationals and thought he had some potential. I left yesterday thinking the same thing.

Playing both left guard and defensive tackle, Corey Williams of the Delaware Ducks looked strong. Did a nice job of fighting in the trenches during one-on-one drills, but strikes me as a bit raw. Has some good natural, physical traits in terms of size and strength but has room to grow in terms of fundamentals at the position(s).

There was potential to become very good interior defensive tackles in Brandon Toler and Azion Rodriquez. Both were kind of laid back and didn't jump up to take reps during contact drills, but the duo did well when they had reps. Rodriquez may have been the second biggest kid out there based on overall combination of height and weight. He was strong at the point of contact and didn't lose reps, but didn't win many either--just kind of ended in stalemates. Toler is wide body that can eat eat up space and may help in run support or short yardage.
