The camp has grown into a reputable event for linemen to work against each other in the offseason and prepare themselves for the summer camp circuit, as well as the upcoming football season. There were a few standouts from the camp that we will recognize here.
Chaz Knox DL – AL Brown 2025 6’0 260 (HS DL MVP)
Chaz is an All-Conference performer for the Wonders who is stout at the Defensive Tackle position. His strengths involve a quick rip move to get an offensive lineman’s hands off of him as well as using his hands well to shed blocks and get tackles for losses and sacks. His upfield penetration disrupts the timing of the offense and helps the overall defense be more effective. At his size, he should see college interest from mid-level schools as he projects to be an impact player once again this season.
Darion Griffin DL – Byrnes 2025 6’3 235
Darion was named as another standout from the camp. As a 2025 player, I like his size and frame already, that will give him a shot to add good weight and be an impact player this season. He has good quickness off the edge as a Defensive End and uses his hands well to disengage from offensive linemen. I also like his strength – typically in camps like this you are encouraged to work a move on half a man as a defensive lineman, but he did show a good punch and extend (push/pull) move on an offensive lineman as well.
Allen Edmondson DL – Byrnes 2025 6’2 248
I like a couple of things about Allen – first off he displays excellent quickness off of the snap which helps him get his hands on an offensive lineman first. From there, he can show two moves well, he can transition to a rip move through the shoulder to get quick penetration. Secondly, he showed a nice stab and spin move that would be effective in obvious passing situations to get a pass rush on the quarterback. As he adds good weight and strength, I think he can be a college prospect for sure.

OL – North Stanly 2024 6’2 250 (HS OL MVP)
Tad has good size and projects as a player that can play either the interior or exterior of the offensive line. His highlights show that Tad uses his long arms well to lockout and control defensive linemen immediately at the snap. He also moves his feet extremely well to mirror a defender in the passing game and excels in zone blocking with good agility in the run game. He also has a nasty streak that flashes in the power run game that’s great to see.
Nick Passerrello – St. Joseph’s Catholic (Greenville, SC) 2027 5’10 215
(MS OL MVP)
Jordan Lofay – Dubose 2027 5’9 170
(MS DL MVP)
