His elite speed and athleticism help him make plays that few others in the state can. Bryant can line up all over the field and get yards running various routes or by just getting it on a sweep. As a defensive back, he flies around the field, breaking up passes and picking them off. He tracks the ball incredibly well and can hold on for contested catches. Bryant's a yards-after-the-catch monster whose ability to make defenders miss in space makes him a dangerous kick or punt returner. In addition, Bryant has the wheel to chase down ball carriers from behind and separate from defenders when he's on offense.

On offense, he moves the chains time and time again with his speed and toughness when carrying the ball. Vailahi can make defenders miss with quick cuts and quickly reach his top speed to separate.

His burst and acceleration make him hard to contain in the passing, rushing, and return game. Hicks speed is truly remarkable, and his ability to break free despite defenders appearing like they have a great angle to tackle him is extraordinary. He possesses excellent vision he uses to find creases in the running and return game. Hicks can leave defenders in the dust with quick cuts and shifty moves. In addition, he does a great job reading his blockers and explodes through holes for six. Hicks is one of the state's most challenging players to tackle in space.
