In only two days from now, some of the top talent in the box state will showcase their skill in front of coaches and scouts galore with the hopes that they can raise their stock in an attempt to garner some attention from big-time colleges. Whether it’s excelling at the 40-yard-dash, standing out in one-on-one competition, or displaying quickness in cone drills, there should be plenty of opportunities to go around for these promising athletes. Without further ado, it’s about that time to learn some of the names that will be putting on a show for the Colorado 2023 Prospect Tour!
A ferocious first-team all conference linebacker hailing from Mountain Vista, the class of 2025 defender unleashed an unthinkable 2022 season by amassing a whopping 177 tackles to go along with a mind-blowing 33.5 tackles for loss. Not only does Daniels pass the eye test statistically, but he also possesses rare speed and athleticism for someone at the linebacker position. To top it all off, Daniels leads by example when he is on the football field as he arguably serves as the heartbeat of the Golden Eagles defense.

Highlights
First things first, outside linebacker Ashton Shepardson Ashton Shepardson 6’1″ | 205 lbs | LB Chery Creek | 2025 State CO could see plenty of exposure heading his way with a stellar showing on Saturday. While it always helps to play at a school like Cherry Creek that continues to pump out talent year after year, this 2025 graduate is a raw prospect with a whole lot of upside. A season ago, Shepardson recorded 16 tackles in limited playing time as a sophomore, but this fall could see an uptick in playing time with a plethora of Creek defenders on track to graduate this spring. With that being said, Shepardson has the mental and physical capacity to line up anywhere on the field with his havoc-creating play.

Another intriguing prospect that will be partaking in the festivities on Saturday, Lautzenhiser doesn’t have a ton of film at his disposal, but his sheer willingness to make plays at the point of attack is an attribute that should be worth keeping in mind. Entering his final year of high school ball, the Fossil Ridge product should find himself with plenty of chances to turn some heads this fall. If there’s one thing that Lautzenhiser excels at, it is his ability to make fundamentally sound tackles in the running game while also providing solid pass coverage over the top at his safety position.
Not only did QB Brady Vodicka Brady Vodicka 6’1″ | 205 lbs | QB Cherry Creek | 2026 CO lead the Cherry Creek Bruins to a state championship title as a freshman, but he also still has three more years of high school to continue to progress and work towards his goal of becoming a solid college football quarterback. On paper, Vodicka stands at 6’1″ while weighing in at 207 pounds and boasts proper decision making that allows him to not be careless with the football. In addition, Vodicka seems to be getting more comfortable with his passing mechanics as well. Don’t be surprised if the Bruins field general takes a big step forward into becoming one of Colorado’s top signal callers.

Possibly one of the more underrated wideouts in the Centennial State, Mr. Archambault has all of the tools to put on a show at the Prospect Tour. For starters, Archambault is a fluid route runner with eyes on the end zone whenever the football is in his grasp. Not to mention, but the Summit High School product has a unique skillset in which involves blazing speed in open space. In fact, Archambault’s track and field background has transformed him into one of the fastest players on the field. By the time the season rolls around this fall, don’t be shocked if this young man turns into one of the more premier playmakers for the Tigers heading into his senior campaign.

The second quarterback prospect on this list that will be putting their best foot forward on Saturday, there is surely a whole lot to like about Daugaard’s overall passing game. Near the conclusion of last year’s regular season, the 2024 field general definitely became more comfortable in his passing progressions and also having an increased faith in his arm that ended the 2022 campaign with 27 passing touchdowns and 2,585 yards through the air. Believe it or not, Daugaard may officially put the rest of the state on notice later this fall if he can continue to improve his playmaking skills out of the pocket along with adjusting his throwing shoulder placement to manipulate the trajectory of his throws.

Jayce Prante
One look at Prante’s numbers definitely tell the story of someone who is an absolute mauler in the trenches, and the belief is that his hard work during this offseason may be rewarded with even more gaudy numbers in 2023. Without a doubt, Prante has the frame and size to be a certified beast this season, as he uses great pad leverage when blowing up blocks and disrupting opponent’s running games. Whether it’s relying on his excellent explosiveness, his instant penetration to impact plays or even his overall relentlessness until the whistle blows, this bruising defender has a high ceiling. Ladies and gentleman, be on the lookout for this standout difference-maker to introduce himself to everyone who is in attendance for tomorrow’s event.
