The 2025 group of prospects is class is already looking like a special group with talent ranging from Class A to 6-man and players from Omaha to the Panhandle. We are going to be highlighting some players that are surprisingly under-the-radar but are set to make noise this offseason!
Conor Booth Conor Booth 6'1" | 215 lbs | RB Bishop Neumann | 2025 State NE | RB | Bishop Neumann | 6’2″ 210 lbs
#1 RB | #25 Overall
One of the biggest winners of the latest rankings update was Bishop Neumann’s, Conor Booth Conor Booth 6'1" | 215 lbs | RB Bishop Neumann | 2025 State NE . After a very impressive sophomore year, Conor moved up to claim the top RB spot. He finished the season with 72 carries, 964 yards, 18 rushing touchdowns, and an insane 13.4 yards per carry. Booth’s overall athleticism and balanced running attack really caught my eye. Conor is explosive when he hits his gap, can power through tackle attempts in the second level, and has breakaway speed when he hits the open field. He has a bigger frame at 6’2″ and 210 pounds with the ability to absorb contact, but he also has surprising wiggle to his game to shake off defenders. His vision also shined in his tape as he was able to anticipate lanes. Conor also showed to be an effective receiving back and flashed as a returner. Tough, athletic back with next-level size… jump on it quickly!
Leyton Snodgrass Leyton Snodgrass 6'5" | 190 lbs | ATH York | 2025 State NE | ATH | York | 6’5″ 190 lbs

#5 ATH | #28 Overall
The Dukes have another athletic, versatile, two-way player named Snodgrass??? Good luck to all opposing Class B coordinators. The younger Snodgrass on the Duke’s squad already looks like a star in the making and could be one of the top ATHs in his class by the time it’s all said and done. Leyton is a tall, lengthy player that could see himself playing anything from WR, TE, or outside linebacker. His play at outside linebacker was very impressive, as he showcased his ability to create problems in the backfield. He is more athletic than most tackles he faces and can win with a speed rush. Leyton also looked good in coverage as he was able to drop into the slot/nickel spot and line up to cover receivers/tight ends. He’s also a great closer in space that can cover a lot of ground with his long stride and is efficient with his tackles when he gets to his man. As a pass-catcher, he uses his huge catch radius to make out-of-frame catches and win jump-ball situations. He moves like a receiver and has inside-outside versatility that allows him to create mismatches wherever you line him up. Get this guy
Ike Ackerman Ike Ackerman 6'3" | 215 lbs | ATH Omaha Central | 2025 State NE | TE/DE | Omaha Central | 6’3″ 215 lbs
#2 TE | #33 Overall
Ike has already established himself as a national name in the Track & Field realm, and this year is when he does so in football. Ike is a player that projects at several positions. At tight end, Ackerman’s size and leaping ability make him a tough player to match up against. Ike’s big, strong mitts make him very reliable at the catch point and allow him to hold on through contact. He’s also a nice contributor to the run game with his physical blocks. Ike does a great job picking up blocks in the second level and sealing off the edge on outside runs. Ackerman also played on the defensive line, where he showed a solid get-off and a mean streak when he’s in attack mode. Ackerman finished the season with 13 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and a sack. He could also project as an edge-rushing OLB. High upside player ready to make his presence known on the gridiron!
McCorter Goeser McCorter Goeser 6'0" | 220 lbs | LB Elkhorn South | 2025 State NE | LB | Elkhorn South | 6’0″ 205 lbs
#5 LB | #45 Overall
One player ready to take on a bigger role in 2023 is Elkhorn South LB McCorter Goeser McCorter Goeser 6'0" | 220 lbs | LB Elkhorn South | 2025 State NE . McCorter was part of a deep LB rotation but still managed to show several flashes when he got on the field. From the outside linebacker spot, McCorter did a solid job defending the outside run and can provide QB pressure off the edge. He can fight through his blocks at the line, and with how great the Storm has been at developing defenders, I wouldn’t be surprised if Goeser came out in 2023 with a deep bag of rush moves. He’s not just an edge rush LB, though, as he also showed the ability to drop back into coverage against tight ends and RBs. McCorter has all the tools to continue rising in the ranks by the time he’s a senior.
Dane Omel Dane Omel 6'0" | 185 lbs | ATH Lincoln Southeast | 2025 State NE | RB/ATH | Lincoln Christian | 5’11” 160 lbs
#4 RB | #53 Overall
I had a tough time determining what position to label Dane under because of how versatile he is as a player. Dane initially caught my eye while playing for the Red Wolves 7v7, making tough catches and standing out defensively. When I check his tape, it’s clear his playmaking ways translate over to pads. Dane is a player you can feed and let him create opportunities with his athleticism and twitch. Omel is especially tough to defend when you can get him the ball in open space. He sees the game very well and has great instincts, whether he’s anticipating run lanes or reacting in coverage you can expect him to make a quick, smart decision. Dane has hands and runs routes like a receiver as well, making him a well-rounded threat. He finished his sophomore season with 796 rushing yards, 6 rushing touchdowns, 72 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 2 interceptions, and a forced fumble. Check this guy out ASAP!!
