Players On Visits At South Alabama This Past Weekend

<p>South Alabama has been doing a great job of recruiting locally. With Coach Jay Hopson on their staff, you can expect to see them bring some good guys in. If South Alabama can land some of these players it will be a great thing. There are some studs coming within the 2024 and 2025 classes. </p>   <h2><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='130506' first='Logan' last='Joellenbeck'], OL, 2024, Foley</strong></h2>   <p>Joellenbeck was on campus at South Alabama this weekend. Looks like he was having a good time from his social media page. Joellenbeck can make a good fit into their offense. He has a big body to stand very strong at a tackle position. He is also a competitor. Joellenbeck is a coachable kid who South Alabama can turn into a very high profile tackle. Keep an eye on this young man.</p>   <h2><strong>Derrick Butler, RB, Davidson, 2024</strong></h2>   <p>Butler has been mentioning his visit to South Alabama for quite some time. Could they have a chance on landing the big time running back out of Mobile? This could be very possible. The young man seems to be very intrigued with South Alabama. He is a RB that knows how to do a variety of things. I can see him playing an all purpose back role for South Alabama. It will be interesting to see where else Butler will be visiting this spring. </p>   <h2><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='952796' first='Jeremy' last='Cook'], ATH, Hoover, 2024</strong></h2>   <p>Cook is a player that does a great job on both sides of the football. It will be very interesting to see how South Alabama plans on using him on their squad. Cook has very good hips. He also has good feet. I think that with his long arms he can he a good defensive back in college. Cook can use those offensive skills to make a big impact on defense. He is definitely a guy to know. </p>   <h2><strong>Nathan Jennings, DE, James Clemens, 2024</strong></h2>   <p>Jennings is a beast from the edge. He has great size at 6-foot-4, 240-pounds. He knows how to use those long arms to shed blocks. Jennings is a beast at his position. He has a high motor. He does a great job for his team in the pass and rush defense. Jennings has a few more stops to make before the spring is over.</p>   <h2><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='617336' first='Jermar' last='McCarter'], OLB, Starkville (Miss), 2024</strong></h2>   <p>McCarter is an outside linebacker that has some very good hips. He also knows how to ready very well. He holds a few group of five offers. McCarter may start to see some power five offers rolling in soon. This guy is a dude. He knows how to make a big impact on their defense. This young man is always around the football. It will be interesting to witness his recruiting process. McCarter is a stud.</p>
