We've already talked on top O lineman [player_tooltip player_id='291229' first='Sam' last='Keen'] who also earned 2nd&nbsp;team all-state honors defensively. Teammate [player_tooltip player_id='209673' first='Aiden' last='Hazen'] will be a 4A defensive POY favorite heading into next season, after being the only underclassmen in Oregon to earn 1st&nbsp;team all-state accolades in 2022. The talented overall athlete made 88 total tackles with 5 tackles for loss last year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Two current sophomores who will get in the mix and play a crucial role for the Spartans as well are [player_tooltip player_id='408638' first='Brody' last='Borrevik'] and <strong>Dawson Reiling</strong>. Marist will be one of the few teams at the 4A classification level with a legit line on both sides of the football. The 6-1 225-pound Borrevik is a tear coming off the edge and will project as a 1st team all-state guy next season. The 6-2 220-pound Reiling will play on both sides of the ball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Warren Haatia</strong> was a 2nd team all-state selection for the Indians last year and a big reason for their playoff run and upset of #1 Mazama. His 114 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, and 14 sacks as a junior speaks to his game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Two teams with multiple all state projected kids returning include Stayton and Cascade. The Eagles out of Stayton have two super talented sophomores coming back in <strong>Kale Hubert </strong>and [player_tooltip player_id='407437' first='Tanner' last='Starbuck'] at DB. Hubert was an honorable mention all-state selection from his LB spot, making 76 total tackles with 3 tackles for loss. Starbuck is a versatile two-way threat who picked off 4 passes, while making 72 tackles on the year. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cascade could have one of the top line recruits statewide regardless of classification in current Freshman <strong>Bryce May</strong>. The 6-3 310-pounder has promising genes and the potential to be the real deal. Teammate<strong> Karsten Sande </strong>earned all-state honors at DB as a junior. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Two other intriguing athletes with size return after earning all-state honors in the secondary. We've already talked on<strong> Tyson Van Gastel</strong> (6-3 210) of Mazama, who was one of the only underclassmen in Oregon to earn all state accolades offensively &amp; defensively. Expect 6-4 200-pound athlete <strong>Eddie Freauff</strong> out of Crook County to make a nice jump up the rankings board as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>2nd team all-state RB<strong> Logan Whitlock</strong> is also one of the top LBs in the state, while only being listed at 5-9 175. Last but not least don't sleep on Marshfield sophomore DE [player_tooltip player_id='511868' first='Lucas' last='Folau']. He was one of the top d lineman in Oregon last year, making 51 total tackles, with 15 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, and 17 hurries. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
