<p>Tons of talented young players from all over Louisiana and even some spilling in from Mississippi met at Nicholls State this weekend for the "Belly of the Beast" tournament hosted by the Thibodaux-based Naturals.</p>

<p>The two-day event featured 18U, 15U, 14U and 12U divisions and saw a wide range of prospects generating buzz from already-headline names to even the youngsters having fun competing before following the older student-athletes' footsteps to their local high schools.</p>

<p>And check out a few 2027 and 2028 names below to start keeping an eye on, although Prep Redzone Louisiana will not start fully covering those classes until the beginnings of their high school freshman years. Stay tuned for August when several of these 2027 student-athletes will factor heavily into the initial rankings and watch lists for the class.</p>
