WEST DES MOINES, IA-- We check in from West Des Moines, Iowa from the beautiful MidAmerican Energy Company RecPlex to see in Part I which Iowa and South Dakota prospects balled out at the Seneca Wallace Combine, which had over 150+ prospects from Iowa, South Dakota, and Texas show off their talents on Saturday morning thru afternoon. Let us grab a look at who balled out in Part I

[player_tooltip player_id='156638' first='Trevor' last='Veenstra'], DL/TE, Pella Christian (IA) 2024 Twitter

Trevor was the first prospect that popped out to my eyes at the Seneca Wallace Combine in West Des Moines on Saturday, as he shows off very intriguing length and a sizable bend for his 6'4 250 pound frame that bent more like a wide receiver than a tight end with his reps.

Trevor also showed off much stronger long-range speed with his stamina than you would expect with his frame. That fire he showed off on Saturday, positions well as a defensive end at the next-level as he has a massive fire off the snap and has that planted vision in his skillsets to consistently find the ball carrier with his ease.

Trevor is also a bulldozer of a blocking tight end, and shows off a persistent pad-level that routinely takes his defender to the turf on tape with his overpowering frame. This is a versatile prospect that I believe his stock could grow fast, as he's already garnered some interest at the D1 and D2 levels since Saturday on social media.

Mikhei Turner, DE/TE, Sioux City North (IA) 2024 Twitter

Mikhei was another first look prospect that caught my eyes as even in the early reps, he showed a strong elusive bend built in his with 6'5 frame as a versatile defensive end/tight end prospect coming out of Sioux City North.

I also cannot say enough how much I love this young man's character on Saturday, as Mikhei was a grade A prospect when it came down to his character and will be a joy to have in any college football locker room next year.

The route-versatility Mikhei plays with looks much more like a big-framed wide receiver prospect at 6'5 210 pounds, versus a tight end as he can be a pass-catching asset on all three levels of the field. Mikhei also has some raw yet promising drive-blocking ability, that I see growing a ton from now until summer camp season which I could see him as a under the radar prospect to a much bigger name by summer's end with all the development with his size you can groom this young man with.

[player_tooltip player_id='402517' first='Dveyoun' last='Bonwell-Witte'], WR, Brandon Valley (SD) 2026 Twitter

It seems like every time I get the chance to watch Dveyoun, his ball skills continue to get better and better, and that was yet again the case on Saturday at the Seneca Wallace Combine at the RecPlex in West Des Moines.

Dveyoun plays well beyond his age as far as his skillsets, as I had the luxury of enlightening those in West Des Moines, that this young man has three more seasons of varsity high school football left in his arsenal, as likely one of the the top prospects in all of the Dakotas overall in the 2026 class, that we have watched continuously develop over the last year or so starting at the Augustana prospect camp last summer.

His release and outstanding speed off the snap has a ton of burst and instinct from start to finish, and I will easily say this even as a freshmen, this young man might have the highest Division I FBS ceiling I have evaluated in South Dakota thus far since we started in 2020. There are great reasons why myself and our PRZ scouts feel like Dveyoun should be the earliest offer for the FBS level in South Dakota in the 2026 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='247927' first='Adrian' last='Broadus'], QB, Johnston (IA) 2024

Time to tap in to one of my favorite quarterbacks from the Seneca Wallace Combine in Johnston (IA) quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='247927' first='Adrian' last='Broadus'] in the 2024 class.

The poise Adrian brought to the table, along with his touch ball, this young man excels within his skillsets on all three levels of the field, really exceeded his upside as far as his skillsets went on Saturday, as I thought Adrian was one of the best quarterbacks I got to watch and other evaluators saw me zoom in to just how talented this young man is with his balanced demeanor.

Adrian also showed off a ton of consistency in his throws from short to deep and could be one of the biggest 2024 sleepers Iowa has to offer from hearing from my local sources.

[player_tooltip player_id='332995' first='Jacob' last='Doyle'], RB, Cedar Rapids Kennedy (IA) 2025 Twitter

I watched multiple reps from Jacob on Saturday, and he was one of a small sample size of running back prospects from the State of Iowa I just kept having to zoom in on to keep watching and he was well-worth watching.

He significantly excelled with not just his burst from the start of his reps, but just how agile Jacob was from side to side with his twitch in his change of direction showed off a next-level presence for sure in his football future. I thought even as the RB1 in the group, that he was the best of the best amongst RBs in that group I continuously watched on Saturday afternoon.

When you are able to glimpse at Jacob's tape, you see a running back progresses and runs like a runaway train (in a great way) and has the durability that has some raw skillsets that should develop quickly. Jacob even as a early look 2025 prospect, looks the part like a scholarship-level prospect at the next level.
