Joe Poinelli
Joe Poinelli
When one of Poinelli’s coaches messaged me saying I was missing out on this kid, he was right this all-region linebacker is a tackling machine. Watching him man his outside linebacker position it comes as no surprise that many FCS schools are interested in his services. A very smart and speedy linebacker you can see the power he displays in his legs with every open field tackle he makes. His statistics are very impressive with 85 solo tackles, what makes him stand out even more is the level of talent around him that we have previously discussed before. Already garnering interest from Penn, Lafayette and William and Mary, I would not be surprised if he topped over 200 tackles this Fall for the Stallions.

Thatcher Swinton
Thatcher Swinton
A hybrid safety who plays outside linebacker too for Herndon, Swinton is physical man. Boasting a 4.27 GPA you can see the level of intelligence this young man display on the field every snap. There are numerous plays where the opposing quarterback just left his wideout high and dry and Swinton just makes them pay. My bet is that he will be a safety at either the Division 2 or FCS level, but the upside on this dude is their. He also makes plays as a wide receiver for the Hornets offense, do not be surprised if he has a bigger role offensively for the 2023 season.

Denzel Lambert
Denzel Lambert
Lambert is a big fast target returning for what should be a fun season for the Woodbridge Vikings. This rising junior hauled in 9 touchdowns last season and he knows how to use his size as an advantage. A big threat/big play option should have Vikings fan excited for 2023, between him and his QB Amaan Lewis, this offense could be unstoppable. Lambert has already received a division 1 offer from Maine and schools like Old Dominion and Virginia Union are very interested in him. I would like for him to add 5-10 lbs. of muscle to his frame to go along with his length and speed. If he does that, then I am more than confident ODU and VU will turn their interest over to offers.

Xavier Jones
Xavier Jones
Another nice piece returning for Coach Johnson and Potomac, Jones is a technically savvy corner who is not afraid to tackle anybody. He also can provide a spark as a wide receiver, but my bet is that he is a defensive back at the next level. Watching the way he plays defensively I would not be surprised if the Panthers move him around and have him take snaps at outside linebacker and safety. He is a tough versatile athlete who needs to be on the field at all times.

Bryan Rudd
Bryan Rudd
Rudd is a strong, versatile lineman returning for the Patriot Pioneers 2023 season. When I use the word versatile it may be an understatement when you watch this young man’s tape. The way he is able to get downfield to execute blocks is very impressive, you can see why the hype for this dude is starting to build. Schools such as Columbia, Carleton and Shenandoah have already sparked their interest and at 6’3 and 270 lbs., I would not be shocked if more FCS and FBS schools come calling. Rudd plays the game rough and he plays the game fast which may sound silly as he is a lineman but its true.
