<p><strong> POY Candidates:</strong> Even with CV going 1-8, QB [player_tooltip player_id='511303' first='Rocco' last='McClave'] had a phenomenal junior season, leading the state in multiple statistical categories while passing for 28 TDs/4 INTs. He should be a conference POY favorite as the Raiders will be improved as well. Expect his primary receiver [player_tooltip player_id='511310' first='Luey' last='Campos'] to be in the mix also, after catching 52 passes for 1,089 yards and 15 TDs in 2022. He is a standout baseball player and one of the more underrated athletes statewide on the football field. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='412221' first='Tyler' last='Hart-McNally'] should thrive with the graduation of RB [player_tooltip player_id='515302' first='Marcus' last='Allen'] who went for 15 TDs last year. Hart-McNally had 903 all-purpose yards and 6 TDs as a sophomore. The Bulldogs will once again be one of the top 5A teams in the state. Expect them to battle Silverton and fellow 2025 QB [player_tooltip player_id='511861' first='Sawyer' last='Teeney'] for the league title. Teeney earned 2nd team all-league honors, passing for 16 TDs/3 INTs. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='442249' first='Hayden' last='George'] and teammate <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='738890' first='Wyatt' last='Wessel'] </strong>both have legit size and project at the next level. George is one of the state's fastest rising recruits and will play D1 ball, with Wessel being a 1st team all-league standout on D and an appealing 6-3 RB offensively. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='278367' first='Brysen' last='Kachel'] earned 1st team all-league accolades at TE along with George and has consistently been listed as one of Oregon's top 10 recruits for the 2024 class. He was the POY on D but should also be tough to stop offensively. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='206869' first='Jamahl' last='Wilson'] had an outstanding junior season earning 1st team all-conference honors, with the Royal Scots winning their last two games of the year, including a big win against West Albany. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>South Albany had a nice year, winning a playoff game and finishing 7-3. [player_tooltip player_id='486002' first='DeShawn' last='Gilliam'] was one of the league's most versatile athletes, earning 2nd team all Mid Willamette honors on O and 1st team on D. Speaking of versatile don't sleep on talented sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='285872' first='Truman' last='Brasfield']. He was a factor as a freshman at the varsity level, while racking up all conference honors on O, D, and Special Teams.</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p><strong>OTHERS TO WATCH: </strong>[player_tooltip player_id='207259' first='Kyrin' last='Fuimaono'] will be a 4 year all conference starter at QB for Mckay, with teammate [player_tooltip player_id='206874' first='Justice' last='Anthony'] earning 1st team all-league accolades at WR last season. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='738892' first='Cohen' last='Mulick']</strong> is one of the lesser-known athletes at the 5A level, but is deserving of recognition, earning 1st team all-league honors on both sides of the ball. Silverton teammate <strong>Elijah Howard</strong> is another WR to make note of, being an honorable mention all-conference selection. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Two other athletes to watch who could end up being 1st team all-league guys include 6-4 190 QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='738896' first='Lukas' last='Hews']</strong> and RB/ATH [player_tooltip player_id='336759' first='Anthony' last='Vestal'] of South Albany. Both were honorable mention all conference selections a year ago but have enormous upsides. </p>
