Brodie McWhorter Brodie McWhorter 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Cass | 2026 State GA – QB – Cass
One of thee very best quarterbacks in Georgia for the 2026 class, McWhorter has a cannon for an arm and knows how to drive the ball accurately down the field. He proved as a freshman last year that he has big-time D1 talent, and the offers are starting to role in. The North Georgia signal-caller earned an offer from Florida State this week and more are likely on the way. He shows great pocket presence, he’s a natural leader, and has a chance to break some records at Cass before this career ends. His talent is easy to see, and he’s bound for a gigantic sophomore season in 2023. As a freshman last year, McWhorter threw for over 2,000 yards and 20 touchdowns while adding five more touchdowns on the ground. He’s an impressive dual-threat quarterback and one to know for the next three years.
Jamar Owens – DB – Jonesboro
Without a doubt one of the top 2026 defenders in the Atlanta area, and really across the state, Owens was a playmaking machine for Jonesboro as a freshman last year, excelling early in his career against both the run and the pass. At 6-foot-1 170-pounds, Owens has a promising frame with plenty of length, allowing him to cover bigger, longer receivers down the field. A consistent tackler, Owens made 86 stops on the season and gave everything he had on a weekly basis. He made at least seven tackles in nine games last year, showing he’s one of the more consistent young defenders in the area. In coverage, Owens was a ball-hawk, picking off five passes in the secondary. He was a true difference maker defensively who is only going to get better and better over the next several years. The D1 talent is easy to see, and he recently earned a new offer from the in-state Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Kail Ellis Kail Ellis 6'4" | 295 lbs | OL Cass | 2026 State GA – OL – Cass
One of the many future D1-caliber prospects at Cass in the 2026 class. Ellis is coming off an excellent freshman season where he dominated at right tackle on a weekly basis. At 6-foot-4 285-pounds, Ellis has plenty of size for his age and already looks like a possible D1-caliber lineman. He’s a tough, physical run blocker who knows how to drive opposing defenders backwards. He moves well for his size and will continue to grow and develop as a pass protector. He’s already ahead of schedule from a fundamental standpoint, and his stock is rising more and more on the recruiting trail. The big, talented right tackle already has an impressive offer list, and he earned a new one recently from App State. Look for more and more to come his way soon.
Bryce Perry-Wright Bryce Perry-Wright 6'3" | 250 lbs | DL Buford | 2026 State GA – Tennessee
One of the top young defenders in Georgia across the 2026 class, the freshman at Buford showed easy D1 talent last year with the potential to possibly push for 5-star status down the road. He’s a lean interior defensive lineman with eye-opening quickness who is lightning quick off off the snap. He’s a real difference maker who can wreck any particular play due to his strength, quickness, and impressive athleticism for his size. The Wolves are loaded with young prospects, and the standout defensive tackle has the potential to be the next great Buford defender. The offers are rolling in, and the big-time defender earned a new offer from Tennessee after a weekend visit to Knoxville. At 6-foot-3 240-pounds, the Gwinnett County standout has great size for his age and will continue to add more weight and muscle over the next several years. Ranked as the No. 2 DL prospect and the No. 6 overall prospect in the state, Perry-Wright also holds impressive offers from Ohio State, Florida, Duke, Arkansas, Pittsburgh, among others.
