No matter the time of the year, people are able to see who is standing out on the field. Whether it be in spring and summer practices or in 7-on-7 tournaments. In this article, we are going to highlight a few prospects to keep an eye out for this upcoming football season.
Kellen LeCronier-Tight End-Cinco Ranch-6’6” 220-Pounds-2025
Cinco Ranch tight end Kellen LeCronier is a versatile prospect to keep an eye on over the next few seasons. LeCronier’s size at 6’6” makes him a nightmare for opposing defensive backs to contend with. The Cinco Ranch coaching staff has put him in a position to be dangerous all over the field. He has the athletic ability to go up and high point the football. Over the past few months, LeCronier has been tearing up the 7-on-7 circuit. With his size and athleticism, plenty of division one programs are going to be keeping an eye on LeCronier this upcoming season.
Beau Bryant-Quarterback-Katy Jordan-6’0” 180-Pounds-2026
The Jordan high signal caller is a quarterback to watch out for over the next couple of seasons. Bryant has a strong arm that can stretch the field on opposing defenses. The ability to have to throw into traffic and do so accurately is extremely impressive. He is a prospect that has tremendous scrambling ability. Bryant knows how to spread the ball around to his wide receivers. Bryant has lit it up in 7-on-7 play this offseason in what is an impressive preview of things to come for upcoming seasons.
Josh Wilt-Wide Receiver-Clear Springs-2025
Josh Wilt is a wide receiver prospect that college scouts are going to want to watch out for over the next two seasons. Wilt is an impressive route runner and does a great job of losing opposing defensive backs through his speed and route running. He has the mix of speed and route running ability that coaches look for a the next level. Wilt is another prospect that has performed extremely well on the 7-on-7 circuit over the past few weeks. Watch out for him this upcoming season.
Mikey Gow-Quarterback-Allen-2025 6’2” 200-Pounds
Ladies and gentlemen, stop me if you have heard this one. The Allen Eagles have a talented quarterback to keep an eye on in Mikey Gow. Gow has a strong arm and does not have a problem connecting with wide receivers on the deep ball. He is an accurate passer and can connect with his wide receivers at all levels. The windows that he can fit the ball into are small and that is going to have college scouts watching every move he makes over the next two seasons. Gow has been putting his arm on display over the past few weeks in 7-on-7 play. I look for him to be a quarterback that division one programs compete intensely for over the next few months.
Lance Kellum-Wide Receiver-Dickinson-2024-6’0” 190-Pounds
Lance Kellum is a wide receiver that has a knack for getting open. He does an excellent job of creating separation form opposing defensive backs. Kellum helps his quarterback out by moving toward the quarterback, making it easier for the quarterback to get rid of the ball. He has the speed and route running mix that can make it extremely difficult for opposing defensive backs. Kellum has been tearing it up on the 7-on-7 circuit recently. Kellum’s team won the Mike Evans Tournament last weekend, and he had a great performance at the tournament. He is a wide receiver to watch out for this season.
