Jones is a big physical downhill back who has a punishing running style and defenders regularly bounce off of him. He’s got decent speed and gets the corner more often than not. He’s big in the weight room which is one reason for his early success. As of a year ago, he was dead-lifting 400lbs+, and that has only gone up since then. He’s got a powerful upper-body that bodes well with his fairly strong legs that can churn like an ox through some of the toughest muck. He’s got decent vision and very minimal wasted movement at the mesh point which gets him a clear exit. If you’re talking about a workhorse RB, then Jones is your guy. Last year, they gave him 225 carries and with that, he put up 1372 rushing yards and 19TDs. Big numbers no doubt, but the workload and consistency in which he ripped off big runs is why he ended up with some a good season. Work in the offseason, perform in the fall is a perfect description for Jones and I anticipate him to continue building on his success.

Kayden Ruble Kayden Ruble 6'2" | 225 lbs | TE Eastern Hancock | 2025 State IN – Eastern Hancock – TE – 6’3″ 225lbs
Ruble is a fantastic upcoming big-bodied TE who can put his hand in the dirt and line up out wide/in the slot. He’s a physical guy who isn’t afraid of the middle of the field. He can take hits and have guys bounce off of him. He’s strong, good with picking up YAC, and then has the speed to hit a house-call. He’s able to make some of those over the top catches and bring the ball down over a defender. An obvious willing blocker in the running game, but his weight room progress is still getting there. With his size, he’s got decent natural strength which is what’s allowed him to succeed to this point. As he develops physically and gets more reps, he could really begin to take off and dominate. This past season, Ruble put up a very respectable 26-310-5 stat-line from his TE position. A ton of potential, lots of good flash, and a bright future lay ahead for Ruble. All of these guys in this piece are guys who could fly up boards, but Ruble is someone who could skyrocket because real TEs are worth their weight in gold.

Boluwatife Jetawo Boluwatife Jetawo 6'0" | 230 lbs | DL Plainfield | 2025 State IN – Plainfield – DL – 6’0″ 235lbs
Jetawo is an upcoming defensive piece for Plainfield. This past season, he played both LB and DL, but he told me this upcoming year he’ll be primarily on the line. Which, I think is a good thing for him and his future. He’s been best near the LOS and when he’s able to get after the passer. He’s able to move gaps with ease, can slice between some linemen, and is athletic enough to go East/West with a ball-carrier to stay in phase. Overall, he’s a fairly good athlete with decent upside in his physical tools alone. He’s spent his offseason working in the weight room and putting work in on the field. He’s started to get some looks from a few schools in his area, but if he comes out and puts everything together, he could really take off in the recruitment side of things.

Jaxson Reynolds Jaxson Reynolds 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB Paoli | 2025 State IN – Paoli – LB – 6’1″ 195lbs
Reynolds is a young player who drastically improved throughout the season, and where he was at the end of the season has to have coaches giddy with excitement for his future. He’s versatile and moves all over the field. He’s lined up in the slot, the backend, and comes up in the box. He’s aggressive, yet smart to not take bad angles or pursue to early. He’s a tackling machine and is a guy I’d bet on having a 100+ tackle season at-least once before he graduates. Last season, he put up 70 tackles, 5 TFLs, and a forced fumble. As he develops in the weight room and gets more experience under his belt, I like him to be a guy who is very well-rounded by the time he graduates. Reynolds is no doubt an upcoming stud LB for the 2025 class and should be a guy we all watch heavily as a potential blow-up candidate in the class.

Jace Deakins Jace Deakins 6'1" | 210 lbs | LB Northview | 2025 State IN – Northview – TE/LB – 6’2″ 210lbs
Deakins is someone who will continue to rise over the next few years rather quickly with the way he’s progressing. He’s a fantastic raw athlete who has seen the field for both sides, but came to life on defense last year. From being a rotational backup as a freshman to a full-time starter, Deakins progression before the season was noticeable. When Week 1 rolled around, he was ready for his opportunity. Making plays all over the field, coming up to play the run, and sacking the QB is a great way to get your name out there. Deakins did just that, while looking really good and confident in doing so. Explosive off the line and willing to take on a versatile role. On the year, he put up 59 tackles, 2 sacks, and forced a fumble. A very good season overall, but it felt like you just got a glimpse of his potential. If he can come out and build on his season from last year, Deakins is going to fly up boards everywhere.
