We're taking a look at 5 recruits in the 2025 class who flew up the board this past week with the big update. These 5 all had big years and are looking to build upon that breakout success from this year!

[player_tooltip player_id='553011' first='Jimmy' last='Sullivan'] - Carroll - QB - 6'3" 180lbs

Sullivan did not have an easy task heading into the season, and to turn that season into what it was, truly was special. Maybe some special guidance from above, maybe not, but Carroll football hit different this past season. Sullivan's progression throughout the season was phenomenal to see. It's not that he didn't play well from the start, but his confidence grew week after week, and he just simply got better. He's a lengthy QB who is best in the pocket, but can do damage with his legs. He's a fantastic athlete who can really run. He's not some pocket passer who is afraid to take off. He's a guy who likes to be in the pocket and move the chains. Move the ball, score Touchdowns. But, if he gets pressured or sees green grass, he'll step up and take off. I liked Sullivan because he's a quick read guy who gets it to the open guy, not his favorite guy. He's capable of rolling out and throwing on the run. Right now, he's more arm talent than polished passer which I feel bodes well for his future. He's young, and as his footwork develops, it's only going to solidify polish and round off his game. On the year, he put up 2290 passing yards, 38 total TDs while completing 65% of his passes and leading them to a State Title Game Appearance. Overall, a fantastic season across the board from a guy who should be on every radar moving forward.

New State Rank: 17 Overall

Twitter: @Jimmy_Sullivan8

[player_tooltip player_id='553109' first='Fuddy' last='Kile'] - Maconaquah - WR - 6'2" 160lbs

Kile is a lengthy receiver who has really decent speed who can catch just about everything that comes in his range. He's got breakaway speed and is able to get beyond the second-level with ease. He's created havoc for defenses trying to slow him down in the Redzone. He was the focal point of their passing attack this reason because of all the tools he has. His ability to get open, catch contested balls, adjust to them in air, and breakaway speed all give them good reasons to do so. He's able to line up anywhere in formation and can play outside and then operate the middle of the field with the same success. They played 10 games this past season in Maconaquah. Kile put up 84 receptions, 1203 yards, and 15 TDs. To average over 8 catches a game, at any level, is quite impressive. The consistency in which you have to be performing at to get to that level of production is top-notch and is something that should put him on boards everywhere.

New State Rank: 35 Overall

Twitter: @FuddyKile

[player_tooltip player_id='244586' first='Nathan' last='Starks'] - Carroll - RB - 5'8" 160lbs

Starks is a dynamic back who is a threat to score from anywhere. There are times where he touches the ball and you think he's going to be tackled, but he ends up in the end-zone. He's not the biggest back, but he's incredibly shifty and is usually able to easily blow by everyone on the field, which creates quite the dilemma for defenses. It only takes a few strides for him to get full speed and can make any defender miss. Time and time again, he turned small play into a huge gain with his ability to create and see the field, then hit the hole. His first year full-time starting on varsity, and he put up 1134 rushing yards and 7 TDs while adding 22 receptions and 2 more TDs through the air. He's reliable in the screen game and patient enough to let blocks set up, which is why he had so much success right away. He's so explosive and versatile that defenses will have to key in on him moving forward as he develops. Starks is a back who could really take off with recruitment this year, and it would be for good reason. He's a ton of fun to watch and is going to make the offense better wherever he lands.

New State Rank: 37 Overall

Twitter: @NathanStarks11

[player_tooltip player_id='553025' first='Brayden' last='Tyus'] - Warren Central - ATH - 6'2" 205lbs

Tyus is dynamic coming off of the edge. He's able to get in the backfield and blow up plays so often that I had to check to see if it was the right number just to be sure. He's quick off the line, able to slip by linemen, and can tackle in space. He can tackle through a crowd and anticipate the ball carriers angle. He was at Decatur Central this past season and I believe has transferred to Warren Central for the upcoming year. I believe he only played in 5 games last year due to an injury, but he still managed to put up 40 tackles, 12 TFLs, 3.5 sacks, and forced 2 fumbles. He's lined up on either side and has the athleticism to drop back into coverage. While I think he's likely a bit raw there, he's someone who could be a hybrid defender at the next level as he develops. Tyus is trending the right direction in all phases and could be someone who blows up if everything aligns.

New State Rank: 43 Overall

Twitter: @BraydenTyus

[player_tooltip player_id='539973' first='Trey' last='Willard'] - Heritage Hills - DL - 6'1" 225lbs

Willard remains a steady riser in the rankings as he continues to improve, and work, and work, and work. Whether it be on the field, in the weight room, or a camp, he's always putting some sort of work in. It really paid off this past season for him. Not only did he breakout, but he really helped give the defensive line some life. He's a high-effort guy who isn't stuck at one spot on the line. Anywhere up front, he's able to make plays and get home. Where he is today compared to a year ago is day and night. Where he could easily be in 2 years when he graduates, might be astonishing. On the season, he put up 52 tackles 5.5 TFLs, and 3 sacks. With another year of progress under his belt, he could easily come out and improve on those numbers. He's not stiff and he can play the run. While it was a good year, if he can build upon it he's going to put himself on the fast-track to success. Willard is a grinder who is going to continue to improve day by day until his time comes to pick a landing spot, and when it does, he'll be ready.

New State Rank: 52 Overall

Twitter: @TreyWillard07
