However, we may need to run through another update already because there have been many athletes who have come onto my radar since then that will reshape the order. That is what my focus of this article will be. Those new athletes on my radar who are going to shake up these rankings because of their immense talent. We begin this exciting article with a star out of Arrowhead HS.
Jacob is going to shake up the rankings the most because he is going to take over the #1 spot when I get him in the rankings. I was sleeping on the freshman RB, but that is long over with now. Jacob is a rare athlete already. His vision, agility, speed, and body control are the best I have seen from a freshman. They are honestly some of the best I have seen in any recruit. Siner already saw varsity action as a freshman, and he looks well on his way to being a heavily pursued FBS prospect. His tape is so fun to watch. He seems to always know where the green grass is, and he can make anybody miss in the tiniest of spaces. Not to mention he has elite long speed so if you don’t contain him from the start it is over. Siner is going to be so fun to watch these next three seasons. Big numbers, and dominant highlights are on the way.
Another freshman RB who saw varsity action is Tommy Novotny Tommy Novotny 5’9″ | 170 lbs | RB Milwaukee Marquette | 2026 State WI out of Milwaukee Marquette. There is a lot to like about the young playmaker. His instincts for the position are already well developed. He can stretch the defense laterally, then stick his foot in the ground when he finds his lane and accelerate for big gains. He also has quick, agile feet that allow him to leave defenders tackling air. Tommy sees the field really well. Whether it is finding blocks or setting up defenders. Make sure you have Tommy on your recruiting boards early on. I think we see a breakout this fall.
Ethan Childers Ethan Childers 5'5" | RB Kenosha Bradford | 2026 WI

Another RB to watch going forward is Ethan Childers Ethan Childers 5’5″ | RB Kenosha Bradford | 2026 WI . He will join a well represented Kenosha Bradford freshman class in the rankings soon. Ethan is a compact RB who thrives in space. Get him in position to be one on one with an LB in the hole or a DB out in space and I will put my money on him to be able to shake them. Childers also sees the field very well. Some of his cutbacks had me wondering if he had eyes in the back of his head. The undersized back also runs angry and will finish runs by falling forward. I’m excited to see how Ethan and his teammates develop over the next few years.
If you are looking for an athlete who is going to take off this fall and put up big numbers then turn your attention to the Arrowhead WR. When they aren’t handing it off to Siner you can expect Hughes to be getting targeted through the air. Despite a loaded receiver/TE group in 2022, Hughes was able to crack the varsity lineup as a freshman. Hughes already possesses that next level acceleration off the line and out of his breaks. He is a twitchy athlete overall with loose hips that allow him to run crisp routes. Harper is well on his way to being the best route runner in his class if he isn’t already. The young playmaker was also an effective blocker. Highlight this name going forward. He is going to be fighting for WR1.
Luke is going to find himself in the running for the top QB spot when he debuts in the rankings. The 6’2″ 190 lbs freshman fits the mold of a dual threat passer. He has standout speed that allows him to run away from the field at the lower level of competition. I’m excited to see how it matches up against the varsity level. Nathan Hale will be looking for a new QB this fall, so look for Luke to push for the job. As a passer, Luke has shown that he has the arm to stretch the field with decent velocity. His athleticism also allows him to move around the pocket well, and he isn’t always looking to run right away. Schaning is accurate from the pocket and on the run, and his velocity is more than serviceable in the short to intermediate range already. I’m excited to see if he can win the job and stand out at the varsity level.
