Trae Davis Trae Davis 6'1" | 170 lbs | ATH Troup | 2024 State TX , Troup, ATH
Davis is very versatile. This young man cab make big plays from the backfield. He also can line up at receiver and be the man on the islands. Davis is very long and has great speed. He doesn’t look to be moving that fast, but it is obvious on film that he separates away easily when he is on the move. Davis has very good hands. He is a decent route runner as well. I think that he is going to be a receiver on the next level. He is a guy to keep up with.
Reginald Lewis, Waco, WR
Lewis has a lot of speed. He is very dangerous on the islands. Lewis is also very quick. He has good vision once he turns into a ball carrier. He easily makes defenders miss. Lewis also does a good job of getting open. He doesn’t give away his routes with his head movements. He is a disciplined route runner. That says a lot about him. Sometimes it is hard for guys who are so young to be disciplined route runners. Lewis knows how to disguise his routes. I’m excited to keep up with him.
Jaxson Maynard, DE/OLB, Smithson Valley
Maynard is a big boy who is in great shape. This young man has a high motor. He knows how to move around when he plays the trenches. He has long arms that he uses to keep defenders out of his face. Maynard has the body to grow into a defensive tackle. I think he can hit a college weight program and pack on more muscle weight. Maynard does a good job of keeping blockers off of him. He knows how to make those big boys work for a block. Maynard is a guy we need to keep up with. I would love to see him get a quicker release from the line.
Aiden Newbill, OL, Connally
Newbill is a tree on the field. He is a 6-foot-10, 265-pound offensive lineman who may be a tight end. This kid has the looks to be a great one. He also does a good job of moving his feet. He does not have any offers, but that could change soon. Newbill can move from side to side very well. He is a guy that can easily be coached. I think with his size he can definitely be a power five prospect. He is somebody that needs to be recruited heavily.
