He locates and destroys ball carries behind the line of scrimmage. Baker's closing speed is elite, and he takes excellent angles when coming in to make stops. He's one of the states hardest hitting players, and it always takes running backs and quarterbacks an extra second to tet up after he's laid the hammer down. Baker is incredibly strong, and when he meets running backs in the hole, he stops them dead in their tracks. He can play on or off the ball and will make game-changing plays all 48 minutes. Baker is back after helping the Stallions be one of the state's most dominant teams in 2022.

His sideline-to-sideline quickness helps him chase down plays from behind or beat running backs to the edge. Tate is an exceptional athlete who can drop into coverage or rush quarterbacks. He can blow up plays by taking on offensive linemen or breaking into the backfield with his quick first step. Tate does a great job breaking down to make tackles in space and always wraps up. He stays disciplined in his assignment and sniffs out play fakes at a high level. Tate transferred to Corner Canyon, and the transition from 5A to 6A will be seamless for the superstar linebacker.

[player_tooltip player_id='406968' first='Peizge' last='Mailei'] || LB || 6'0 || 210 || Highland High School || 2024
Mailei is an elite athlete who can play anywhere on the field. At the next level, he projects as a dominant linebacker, especially after making so many game-changing plays in the front seven in 2022. Mailei can get around offensive or go right through them to blow up plays. He does a great job trying to rip the ball out when he meets ball carries while still maintaining a solid lock to ensure he makes the tackle. Mailei peanut punch is among the best in the states, and he has the speed to chase down pass catchers from behind to prevent touchdowns.

He has a bevy of moves he can throw at offensive linemen and can win inside or out. Reid does a great job of recognizing when an offensive lineman is oversetting and will spin back inside with incredible quickness. He uses his hands incredibly well and can knock down offensive linemen's punch attempts to win on the outside. In addition, Reid is a fluid athlete who impresses with exceptional bend all game. Reid also does a great job setting the edge, and he can toss an offensive tackle out of the way to make plays on running backs.
