RB Lawrence Crosby Jr – Monroe

Analysis - At 5'10 and 191 pounds, Crosby is absolute lightning in a bottle at the Running Back position. He displays excellent vision in and out of the hole, and if he gets into the open field, he simply isn't going to get caught from behind. He also catches the ball out of the backfield very well, and he could progress to a player that can play out of some slot receiver formations on the next level. He rushed for over 1400 yards this past season with over 20 touchdowns. A definite playmaker.

WR [player_tooltip player_id='147623' first='Channing' last='Goodwin'] - Providence Day

Recent Offers - Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, South Carolina

Analysis - Channing has been a player I've known about since his freshman year when he was named an All-American by a reputable outlet. Of course, now he has blossomed into a major national recruit here, and the main reason why is just incredible talent. He catches the ball very well, it never gets to his body. Electric speed and great discipline running his routes allow Channing to always gain regular separation against defensive backs. Of course, that also allows him to be a dynamic playmaker where big passing plays over the top of the defense are common with him. He also isn't afraid to be physical - he plays some safety on defense as well for Providence Day. He is also a baseball player, playing the outfield is a good way to work on those ball skills!

ATH [player_tooltip player_id='312784' first='Xavier' last='Chambers'] - AL Brown

Recent Offers - Marshall, James Madison

Analysis - Xavier lists himself as an Athlete, but I am going to talk about him from the offensive side of the ball, as that's where I think he can make the most immediate impact on the next level. At 5'11 and 195 pounds, he can play from the slot or the outside receiver position. I like his dual ability to play a slot-back position where he is primarily running the ball as well as a receiver. He is tough and shows on film that he can run through initial contact to pick up additional yardage with the ball in his hands. Speaking of hands, he makes some tough catches over the middle of the defense - there is a nice one-handed catch he makes in traffic over the middle that I'm sure caught some coaches' attention. Xavier plays defensive back on defense also, and he has good instincts and ball skills on film for that position also.

WR Ross Smith - Forest Hills

Recent Offers - Charlotte, Liberty

Analysis - Ross is a player who I have been high on because of the elite physical traits he has shown on a consistent basis. At 6'1 and 180 pounds, he looks like a natural, fluid athlete at the receiver position. He has some electric agility where he shows the "make you miss in a phone booth" trait that gets coaches excited on film. Ross is dynamic in the screen game - he shows on one screen he makes two defenders miss and then simply just runs away from everyone else for a touchdown. As if that wasn't enough, he displays the ability to high-point the football well in 1 on 1 jump ball situations. He is a player that I expect to get more attention as the camp season comes along, so schools would be wise to jump on him early.

TE Nick Segarra - Charlotte Catholic

Recent Offers - Old Dominion, Charlotte, James Madison

Analysis - Now, some people will say that Nick benefits from having Norte Dame commit [player_tooltip player_id='115725' first='Jack' last='Larsen'] on the same team to gain recruiting attention, but I will tell you that Nick stands on his own as a talented player here. I saw him for the first time last year at a camp, and he was running routes with wide receivers and looked like he belonged. I thought that he would be a sleeper because he shares a big spotlight, but he has made the most of his opportunities for sure. I think he is a very good receiving tight end, he catches the ball well with his hands, and he has enough speed to gain separation against linebackers in coverage. Because of Charlotte Catholic's offense, he doesn't get a ton of opportunities to operate in space, so I think the camp circuit over the summer will be important to him to show schools he can flex out as well. Nick is a good blocking tight end as well - schools will want him to add weight, but at 6'5 and 225 pounds, he has the frame to do so with ease.
