McKelheer has made himself known as a hard worker and a winner wherever he’s gone, and lets his film as a passer speak for itself. He showed great poise while leading the North to a comeback victory in the 1:00 Cleats V Cancer game. His consistent, sharp footwork maximizes his accuracy from the pocket or while throwing on the run. He’s happy to climb the pocket and trusts his reads, but can stay aware of defenders while progressing through them. He gets the most out of his long arms with a repeatable motion that can sail 40+ yards with touch, or 20+ yards with zip. Teammates and receivers are quick to highlight his leadership skills as he’s quick to develop rapport with pass-catchers and adjusts throws accordingly. Since the game, he received an offer from Pacific Lutheran and a PWO to Washington State, where he’s committed to join a storied QB Room with high expectations.
Black started at C for the North 5:00 team without a single offer. He displayed great run blocking and snapped well from the opening drive. Coaches in attendance took notice, and he garnered his first three offers in the coming weeks from Pacific, Doane and Whitworth. He moves well and is good with his hands. Although he’s big enough to move to a guard or tackle position, his snapping ability makes him encouraging as a C going forward. There’s potential for a further breakout if he works on his deadlift and squat for stronger legs and can adjust to a lower center-of-gravity, an upside college coaches will welcome alongside his mauling abilities in the run game. His recruitment is still open for now.
After taking the Cleats V Cancer 1:00 game by storm with an early sack, Wright earned a visit to Montana State Northern this past weekend. His feel for rushing allowed him to showcase his athleticism against the all-star tackles, and his intensity tires out taller linemen who constantly have to sink their hips to stop him. His quickness and flexibility make him tough to block on run plays, and he has the football IQ to understand his assignments in depth and adapt quickly. He committed to join 8 Washingtonians from past years as MSU-Northern’s first recruit from Seattle, where a pipeline could be forming for the new-look football program.
Highlights
Takai played OT during the 1:00 game but also shines as a versatile DL and looks like he loves the defensive side of the ball on film. He can wrap an RB up with one hand as they burst through the hole, and his excellent vision and balance allow him to control his head and take on half-a-man regularly, getting his head in the backfield and working the rest of his body from a leverage advantage to threaten big plays consistently against the run and pass. He’s scarily big to be having as good technique as he does- and also seems very well coordinated with his hands and feet. He’s been well-known in Federal Way for several years as a monster on both sides of the line, so it’s shocking Lincoln was just his first offer after seeing him at the All-Star Game. His recruitment is still open.

Abdimaalik Yusuf
Abdimaalik Yusuf
Yusuf played well on D Line during the 1:00 game and reminded scouts to look out for him, netting just his second offer- and first in 6 months- in the days following the game. He’s got good pad level as a DT and has strong hands with technique that engage and detach from blockers with ease. He can take a blocker head-on and let his size and strength take over as he decides which gap to take and throws them to the side. He has a wide base that helps him sink his hips and his leg and back strength were simply too much for OL in high school. He now holds offers from Linfield and Whitworth and is still open for recruitment.
