Trent Mitchell – OL – Ashbrook
This big and powerful offensive lineman has picked up offers from several schools – James Madison, Coastal Carolina, Charlotte, and Maryland to be specific. He stands at 6’6 and 290 pounds and is an absolute masher in the run game. He can climb the second level with nimble feet, form fit, and absolutely mash a linebacker or defensive back – it’s just not a fair fight. He can execute the skip pull well, and does a good job moving his feet in pass protection.
Turbo Richard Turbo Richard 5'10" | 205 lbs | RB Northwestern | 2024 State SC – RB – Northwestern (SC)
Turbo has received a ton of accolades for his performance last season when he helped lead the Trojans deep into the state playoffs. He received an All-State recognition as he rushed for over 2000 yards and had over 2500 yards on the season with 25 touchdowns. For me, it’s gratifying because I’ve seen Turbo grow up over the last 3 years from a talented young player into a dominant performer. He boasts a 3.5 GPA and is a great young man by all accounts. He has a ton of offers – Marshall, Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, Miami of Ohio just to name a few. He is explosive once he gets into space and he is true to his name – he does not get caught in the open field. He can catch the ball out of the backfield, and he has the stamina and power to carry the offense if needed on his own. A special player for sure.
De’Adrian Hall – DB – York (SC)
I watched this young man’s film and was very impressed. Standing at 5’11 and 186 pounds, I love that he has that confidence and swag you have to have to be a great defensive back. He is an absolute ballhawk at the safety position – he does a great job in zone discipline and reading routes and the quarterback’s eyes. And then if he gets an interception, he has the speed and athletic ability to take it back this distance for 6. He also plays some spot duty on offense and is able to make some plays in the jet sweep game and can run some routes as a big-play receiver down the field. He also can help out in the return game on special teams – a true 3 phase player! He currently holds an offer from Wright State at the moment.
Armon Wright – WR/DB – Chambers
Armon is someone I’ve had the pleasure of watching up close the past couple of years. He does a great job at the receiver position of being technically sound. He has a number of different releases he uses based on the pre-snap alignment of a defensive back. Then you can see he has been coached well because he is patient in his route running, but quick to get in and out of cuts. Then he displays excellent hands when catching the football, strong and away from his body. At 5’9 and 165 pounds, he may project as more of a slot on the next level, but he has the core strength to play inside or outside currently in high school. He has excellent agility and footwork that he can play some defensive back as well. He currently holds an offer from Charlotte.
Phillip Harris – DB – Butler
I saw this young man up close last season in a big game, and his run support was very impressive. I knew he could cover well from his safety position already, and he has the talent to play cornerback and do a good job in either man or zone coverage. A safety with talent and the full package to get it done in any way possible. At 6’2 and 180 pounds, he has offers from Howard, West Virginia, Old Dominion, East Carolina, Liberty, and James Madison. He has very good ball skills and can highpoint the ball and defend well when challenged down the field in 1 on 1 coverage situations. His pattern reading and discipline in zone coverage is very impressive – he can definitely be a big-time free safety on the next level with the ability to fill in the run game and tackle in open space well. Excellent player from a good program.
