Ashton Blatt Ashton Blatt 6'4" | 215 lbs | LB Pittsburgh Central Catholic | 2026 State PA , along with others in this piece, served as a priority to get my eyes on at this event. He, as well as Colsen Gatten, placed very high along our initial freshman rankings that debuted in August of last year. Word from coaches I know out West have pounded the table for the kid, I had to get out there and see the kid work for my own eyes. Watching Blatt was a focal point of my trip to West Virginia, the kid carries an awesome build for a myriad of positions, said build looked good in person. Blatt’s lack of tape would have had him off the rankings entirely, yet seeing him throw darts across the field against great DBs and LBs helped his cause to not only stay on the rankings but stay inside the top 50. After seeing him work different levels of the field, after seeing how live his arm can be, especially when targetting weapons 20+ yards downfield, I feel much more comfortable talking about Blatt as one of the better Freshman prospects in the state. Even if Blatt doesn’t stick at quarterback for whatever reason, I still believe his presence will be felt in a significant way next Fall.
Nolan DiLucia Nolan DiLucia 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Peters Township | 2026 State PA is arguably in the same conversation. DiLucia also fits the “ATH” mold. Unlike Blatt, DiLucia still has substantial tape to work with after his freshman season at Peters Township. DiLucia is working his way into a future QB role, one I think he will earn, yet the young man already has solid DB/S tape on Hudl. Many prospects below him on the rankings can’t say that. 6’2, slight frame, one that’s more than desirable if projected at QB. I could imagine a future where upperclassmen DiLucia stays inside the top 150 of our rankings for years to come.

Colsen Gatten‘s performance was the revelation of the event. I express the same sentiment I laid out above when discussing Blatt’s performance. Colsen Gatten was the main driving force for me to attend this camp. He and Blatt both projected to be early FBS-offerable talents. It hasn’t happened yet, and as an outsider looking in from the East, I wanted to know for myself if our early evaluation of the young man was unwarranted. Gatten has limited tape to his name, linebacker tape I might add. To my surprise, Colsen Gatten was on the turf absolutely separating away from much smaller and quicker DBs. Working the seams, he and Ashton Blatt Ashton Blatt 6'4" | 215 lbs | LB Pittsburgh Central Catholic | 2026 State PA connected time and time again downfield. A multitude of touchdowns from 40+ yards out. Colsen Gatten‘s performance stood out, mainly because you don’t see kids his age, particularly with his frame, catch and run the way he showed he could. Gatten has some baby fat to his frame, yet he was getting out of his stance like a 170-pound wideout. Gatten also showed off a little bit of long speed, separating well from LBs after bending seams behind the defense. He, much like Blatt, would have fallen off the rankings entirely had I not witnessed him work.
TJ Sabatucci TJ Sabatucci 6'2" | 210 lbs | DL Canon McMillan | 2026 State PA impressed as well. The Canon McMillan tight-end prospect was as advertised. He’s a prospect that is going to impress off the field before anything. Yet in this 7v7 setting, Sabatucci still manages to provide a big target to Nolan and Ashton. Huge upside in the red zone in this setting and padded settings as well. I’m glad I’m no longer in the dark about him either. Will more than likely place inside the top five at his tight end position for years to come.
Josiah Mathis Josiah Mathis 5'9" | DB North HIlls | 2026 State PA , a 5’9 cornerback prospect formerly out of Pittsburgh Central Catholic, caught my eye at the event. Mathis, who had very limited tape as a freshman at PCC, will now see an uptick in reps at North Hills, where he is projected to start this upcoming Fall. I have a feeling I’m off on this young man’s evaluation. It’s tough to give a thorough one, considering the shell defense PA Elite deployed. Mathis is a perfect candidate to succeed at a StockUp or Prospect Tour camp. Seeing him work Indi’s and 1-on-1s would do wonders for his stock. The young man was active in passing lanes on his very limited PCC tape, I expect his production to double over the year. Don’t be surprised if this name gains momentum this time next year, both in terms of rank and recruiting.
Huge congratulations are in order to Daiveon Taylor Daiveon Taylor 6'1" | 215 lbs | DL Bishop Canevin | 2026 State PA , who placed as the second-best defensive lineman / pass rusher in his class after the second update of the freshman class. In all honesty, Taylor’s performance in this kind of setting was taken with a grain of salt. There isn’t much he could have done to sway his rank in either direction. I love that he was able to run some routes and show off his hands and athleticism. Same sentiment can be had for him working at linebacker. I’m being told he might have a future there, instead of around the edge, so 7v7 reps there could pay dividends. Either way, it was a pleasure to meet the kid and see him work up close.
Joey Geller
Joey Geller
Two quick notes on one player that doesn’t get enough love outside of his community, and another completely new name on my radar. I’ll start with a big freshman ATH/TE prospect out of Fox Chapel, that being 6’1 Joey Geller. He’s a name I will stash moving forward, love how he performed at the event.
Impressed with Quadir Stribling Quadir Stribling 6'1" | 160 lbs | QB Serra Catholic | 2025 State PA ‘s outing as well. Not much love was shown his way after his impressive sophomore campaign at Serra Catholic. Stribling coupled his great first impression with a great second outing at this tournament. He worked the short/intermediate routes well. Accurate in all areas. Calm too, love his poise and demeanor. His rank is already a solid one, one that projects future success at his position.
