Here we take a quick look at Oregon's top 15 6A programs by record over the last ½ decade. It's always interesting to see who has been the most consistent as of late. We will look at 5A next...

1.Central Catholic (48-10) .827

The Rams have recently won multiple state titles and consistently produce division 1 talent. They currently feature the state's #1 [player_tooltip player_id='152653' first='Zhaiel' last='Smith'] and #2 [player_tooltip player_id='286686' first='Zachary' last='Davis'] overall recruits for the 2025 class, but will have to deal with defending state champion West Linn, a school with the potential of not losing for a while.

2.Jesuit (44-12) .785

Jesuit seems to be at least a semifinal or quarterfinal team every season. They have won multiple state titles over the years, dominating the Metro, while losing to CC the last three seasons.

3.Lake Oswego (43-13) .767

Coach Coury is as good as they come. The Lakers played for back-to-back state titles in 2018 & 2019, winning one of them with Casey Filkins and company. LO was extremely young last year while projecting as a top 5 team again this coming season.

4.West Linn (45-14) .762

The Lions are (30-4) the last 2.5 seasons, winning the state title a few months back. Much like Chris Miller, Jon Eagle is the real deal and one of the best to ever coach in the NW. West Linn has a legit shot of being a dynasty and winning a handful of state championships in a row.

5.Sheldon (41-13) .759

An argument can be made for Sheldon being the most successful program in Oregon over the last two decades, winning three state titles. They have come back in a big way the last two seasons, going 21-3 while losing last years state cahmpionship to West Linn.

6.Tualatin (47-15) .758

Definitely a program which has solidified itself as a traditional Oregon 6A power. Over the last few seasons in particular they have impressed losing in the state semis to Sheldon and the state championship to Central Catholic.

7.Sherwood (36-18) .667

Some would reference the conference as being a reason the Bowmen have one of the state's best records, but they also consistently play one of the toughest non-league schedules out there. It's definitely one of the best football communities in the NW.

8.Clackamas (33-17) .660

Clack went a combined 26-1 in 2017 & 2018 with a state title, but things have changed a little bit with Nelson HS taking some talented athletes. The loss to Sandy in conference and Liberty in the consolation bracket, brings about questions.

9tie.Tigard (30-19) .612

The Tigers went 20-4 in 2018 and 2019 but have fallen off a little bit. Look for them to bounce back in a big way with another outstanding group of young guys coming up. As most know they are one of the state's all time best football schools.

9tie.Mountainside (30-19) .612

Other than West Linn, the fastest rising football school in Oregon. The Mavericks went 9-2 this past season and have one of the top youth programs anywhere. John Mannion stepping down as head coach is big. He has been one of the best in Oregon for a number of years.

.

11.Barlow (31-20) .607

12.Liberty (31-21) .596

13tie.Sunset (28-20) .583

13tie.West Salem (28-20) .583

15.Newberg (27-20) .574
