Continue ReadingHoward played himself on to the 2027 Prep Redzone Next Watchlist with his performance at the NXGN Atlanta camp. The Causey Middle School prospect made the trip from Mobile, Alabama and did not disappoint. Very good size for a Defensive Back/Wide Receiver. Had the speed to match up with all the wide out’s he went against. Played the Defensive Back position like a Wide Receiver, and attacked each pass like he had the same right to the ball that the offense did.
Highlights
Another Alabama prospect, like Braiden Howard Braiden Howard 5’6″ | 125 lbs | ATH AL above, that earned their way on to the Prep Redzone Next National Watchlist with a big time performance at the NXGN camp. Smith is a versatile kid who can play both Safety or Cornerback with high ability. Showed off impressive closing speed in drills. After reviewing his film, he played Running Back on the offensive side of the ball during the regular season. Knowing that now, it’s obvious to see his vision and understanding of angles is advanced.

The younger brother of class of 2027 prospect and fellow NXGN Atlanta standout, Mekhi Quiller Mekhi Quiller 5’7″ | 135 lbs | ATH Aquinas | 2027 GA . Mikah Quiler displayed a lot of the same traits as big brother when it came to speed and overall quickness. Obviously gives up a ton of size at this point, but has fundamentals and proven ability on both sides of the ball.
A regular season teammate of 2027 Athlete Khemp Boyd Khemp Boyd 5’11” | 185 lbs | ATH Haralson County | 2027 GA at Haralson County Middle School in Tallapoosa, Georgia, Ostroski had a very good day. You can’t get much more West Georgia than where the Rebels reside, but these kids are worth the trip. Listed at 5-foot-9 and 140-pounds, we liked Ostroski a lot as an overall athlete. Earned an invitation to The Show this summer as a Defensive Back. After watching regular season film, it’s clear his camp performance is a direct correlation to his in-season play. Likely could have made The Show as a Running Back or Linebacker as well. Ton of upside.
